The Hungry Monkey
A great place to visit on $10 burger night! That is apart from the much too bright white lights at night, if they lowered and warmed them it would make for a much more welcoming locale. They have a good list of drinks that are well priced, including Philter beer, and the service is pretty good. The burgers are delicious, not too big and with a perfectly cooked pink-in-the-middle party. They also have vegan options. A great addition to Thirroul.

Really disappointed with this. “Burger bowl” $27 there was meant to be avocado there too. Absolutely no care, one piece of lettuce, raw onion. Don’t bother with the Hungry Monkey. Their kids burger didn’t have a single vegetable either. Completely overpriced! Rang them to let them know and they didn’t care to amend.

We recently visited the Hungry Monkey Cafe and had an amazing experience. The staff was incredibly helpful and polite, making the entire dining experience all the more enjoyable. But the real star of the show was the food. We ordered both the burrito and sliders and was blown away by the quality of each dish. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the ingredients were clearly fresh and of high quality.Overall, I would highly recommend the Hungry Monkey Cafe to anyone looking for a delicious meal and excellent service. Whether you're a local or just passing through Berry, this cafe is definitely worth a visit. Five stars!

Great location, service, coffee and food (even though gourmet burger-based, the menu is much more diverse than that).I love sitting at a window bench looking up to the escarpment lit by the morning sun, listening to the chilled music and drinking a really good coffee. I often supplement with an almond croissant, served beautifully with a few Blueberries, a strawberry or two, rather than thrown on a plate and dropped in front of you. I haven't had the chance to try much of the menu, but what I have had was of high quality. The staff deserve praise. All outstanding and offering a service level so rarely seen in other cafes. These guys (and gals) deserve success.

Nicely presented cafe with ample space for larger groups, very questionable hygiene (cockroaches, filth) and a good selection of menu items.STAFF: Friendly but definitely didn't seem all too passionate about their jobs or the business.FOOD: Ok overall, although my eggs came with an entire smudging of food from somewhere else. It was either an exceptionally unclean plate or they didn't realise they left all the jam/tomatoes, I wasn't sure what was on my plate. My attempts to get a waitress failed.CLEANLINESS: Saw two large cockroaches coming out of the kitchen area. Bathrooms were pretty disgusting and really smelly, I had to hold my nose to go. It seemed like they'd put so much effort into an aesthetic frontage and zero effort into things as simple as soap in the bathroom (there was none in either) or toilet roll holders, just 1 little toilet roll on the ground. The door was even super sticky. It was a bit disgusting and I've not felt like this from anywhere else I've ever been.OVERALL: Wouldn't recommend, won't be back. My 3/5 is a very generous rating based upon some things being 5 stars and others being 1/5.

Wish I was warned my burger didn’t come with anything, a bit weird. Food did taste good though.

Service is amazing and the waitstaff is so friendly and helpful with recommendations for other places to try while we were visiting. Went back two more times during our trip! The hotcake was unreal.

Nice place, took my son's for breakfast here this morning, staff were friendly. And to be greeted at the front door with a beautiful smile was really refreshing.Place was clean, service was prompt and the food good.I got the eggs benny (with bacon n mushies), I loved the flavour combo with the chilli and capers in the hollandaise sauce.Kids had the bacon n egg off the kids menu and pancakes.Wheelchair accessible, loads of room, you may need to book in advance for busy days, looks like it gets super busy.*Shout out to the green juice, settled my morning sickness today, you the real MVP*
