I have referred clients for counselling and received good feedback. Dr Watts prepares many single expert witness reports. Its not a suprise that there will be unhappy people preparing reviews here. Assessments of parents are bound to make one person upset if your doing a comparison of those parents.

Dishonest, disinterested and overtly biased. Brings down the profession as has little respect for the truth. I regret deeply ever using this person

In both my opinion & personal experience, Dr Watts could NOT Identify two self-absorbed NARCISSISTS. How could he from just ONE meeting.In my opinion he is selected my CLIENTS of the FCWA who intentionally NEED an SUBJECTIVE outcome for THEMSELVES.The Family Court of Western Australia in my opinion still allow the unlawful REMOVAL of ATSI Children from their FAMILIES.

I rarely write Google reviews but feel that one is warranted following Dr Phil Watts’ involvement as a Single Expert Witness (SEW) in a recent Family Court case involving members of my family. It was not our choice to have a SEW involved in the case and we were not consulted about Dr Watts’ appointment. However, his involvement in a long-running custody case was a significant factor in resolving matters in the child’s best interests.Dr Watts has extensive experience as a Family Court-appointed expert in custody matters and his résumé, which can be easily accessed online, shows that he is well-qualified to act in the capacity of SEW. He employs methodologies that are evidence-based and reflect current best practice in the field of forensic psychological assessment.In our case, Dr Watts’ assessment was thorough and fair to both parties, and his reports were comprehensive, objective and accurate. It was evident that throughout the process, the interests of the child were paramount. The evidence presented in court was instrumental in obtaining the best possible outcome regarding Orders by Consent for Child-related matters.The incredibly emotionally-charged atmosphere that surrounds family breakdown demands that concerned parties, including any children, be treated fairly, courteously and with respect. In my opinion, Dr Watts does this skillfully, professionally and with compassion. I am satisfied that he possesses the experience and expertise required of a SEW in custody matters.In any custody case, the final outcome must reflect what is best for the child, not what is best for (one or the other of) the parents. This was what was achieved in our case. My family’s experience with Dr Watts was very different to that of some of the other reviewers whose comments appear on this site. However, I can only speak as I find, and I have rated him accordingly.

I don’t know there are words that could adequately express the impact meeting Dr Watts had on our lives - at a time where there seemed to be little hope, and it felt as if it was me against the world, desperately trying to be heard ….But even when I spoke with a quiet voice and tears in my eyes - he heard me, and that alone made the world of difference after feeling invisible for so long.Before I met him I went onto Google looking for information, feeling scared and untrusting after not being believed so many times.I have written this review for those who may be doing the same, and who may be victims of DFV, to let them know there is nothing to fear, he is a very good man and all you need to do is tell the truth - no matter how many times you have said it and not been heard - or have said it and been called crazy - find the strength to say it one more time to him - he will hear you.He is very professional, very knowledgeable and one of the most decent and genuine people I have dealt with.My only regret is not meeting him sooner.There is reason his name is held in such high regard by all those involved with the WA Family Court and Family Law - he really is the best.I owe this man my life.Utmost respect Dr Watts.

Dr Watts continually defends his assessments by saying families come to him broken and there is always one ‘ disgruntled’ parent. Let me assure you Dr Watts you have done wrong by the children in my family members situation. You have failed these children and have been manipulated by the mother, only now have the children started to speak the truth and the cracks have appeared. You were supposed to separate the lies and truth and you were not able to do this and the children have suffered, you saying you are focused on what is right for the children is utter rubbish, your report further added to the children’s suffering. It is all about the money to you, there is no way in the time you spend with each child and parent can you make a thorough and informed report . Your name will forever be a stain on our family and the children whose lives you ruined further as you could not see what was really happening.

Arrogant, disrespectful and makes no secret his allegiance to the anti fatherhood stance of the family courts. Avoid.
