Cooktown Bowls Club
We had lunch here during our stay at Cooktown. Loved the club and the atmosphere. Menu was great, and the staff were just fantastic. They were to have an Indian Buffet Dinner the next night and it was a shame we couldn't be there as we were leaving Cooktown. I am sure it would have been amazing. Also want to mention the bottle of white wine that we picked up at the club for 6 dollars (it was on special) that was one of the best white wines I've had! Would definitely recommend the bistro as a great place to stop by for lunch.

Cooktown Bowls Club
We had dinner at the Cooktown Bowl’s Club after returning from a fishing trip which was cut short by weather. I had the ribs which were excellent - very tender and delicious.In fact, I thought the ribs were better than what I had at the famed Waterbar and Grill in Cairns a week ago. The grilled cob of corn on the side was a nice touch

Cooktown Bowls Club
Not much open for dinner on Sundays in Cooktown atm so we tried the bowls club right in the main street. ( Charlotte) Great service staff were friendly, nice atmosphere, not over crowded. Hubby had Sunday roast & I had the budda bowl..both very very nice. Told the menu is changing soon due to tourist season being over but would Recommend going here

Cooktown Bowls Club
Worst night ever. Waited over an hour 1.5 for our meals and we were only a party of 3. The meals came out cold and disgusting and the staff had no interest in assisting us with our issues. The new menu is a disgrace ams offers VERY LITTLE variety.Unfortunately the RSL was closed otherwise the bowls club would not have got our business, nor will it ever get our business again. Avoid at all costs!!

My Family including 10 Adults and 4 children attended the Cooktown Bowls Club on our holiday to Cooktown. The service was amazing they gave out packs to entertain the kids and the food was ready within 5 minutes of being ordered for the whole party of 14. The food tasted amazing and our group struggled to finish our food due to the large portions. The price is affordable with $12 meals for kids including drinks and an icecream along with the choice cheeseburger, nuggest or fish. Would 100% recommend the Bowls club to anyone looking for an affordable kid friendly atmosphere with amazing service and taste.

Order placed at 7:39 on 30/12/22. It is now 8:57 30/12/22 and still no sight of any food or information from the staff as to when we might hope to get some food. No offer of compensation for the wait or consideration for the fact that we had a child falling asleep at the table. Extremely disappointing and poor to say the least. Pity the Obies at the RSL was shut as had far better food and service there. Last time I will be visiting with my family and will be getting all my staff to eat elsewhere when they are staying in Cooktown for work.

We visited last night being Sunday 23rd, the place was quite busy though the kitchen only had 2 guys doing the meals. Well, this 2 gents smashed the meals out and did them well, I had a steak with veg and everything was cooked perfectly. They really did an exceptional job, I thought we’d be waiting hours but came out very quickly and very tasty.A special praise to the young fella in the kitchen, he knew his job and held that place up very well doing 3 peoples jobs as the lady taking the orders seemed quite flustered and newish.I hope you pay these fellas well!

Cooktown Bowls Club
Fantastic club with the best view you’ll find from a bowling green! Arthur and the team made us very welcome as visitors, we participated in social bowls, and the NRL grand final dinner. The food was delicious. Drinks very feasibly priced, they even offer transport in the very modern courtesy bus. Definitely will be back!!
