What an amazing process from start to finish. The self cleaning is revolutionary, the pool is spotless all the time! The pool itself is beautiful and I'm SO glad we opted for the beach add-on - great for the kids (and the dog!) Thank you Luke and the Vasa Team - and Thanks Nick for being a top installer. Nothing was too much trouble, even repositioning my backfill to fill in a dip in the yard. Great job all round

NEVER use this company to build your pool. They built ours without approval from BCC causing us to receive a show cause notice to remove the pool. They then had defaults in the fences that could not pass certification. QBCC investigated and gave them a notice to rectify the defaults. They ignored the official request. QBCC will now be fining the company and failure to rectify defaults will be placed against their building licence. Do your research on QBCC site then avoid this company. QBCC insurance now has to fix our pool and they have advised us on our options for compensation for breach of contact which we will pursuing in due course.

Vasa Pool and in particular Luke Byers completed my home pool installation. From the time of initial contract completion to finalisation of the pool, I had a very positive and satisfactory experience. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Vasa to anyone considering looking for a pool installer.

One of the worst companies out there, such a waste of time. We have gone through a lot of contractors over our house build but the vasa pool was the worst in the lot. Poor quality work (concreting wasn’t done properly, there was solid concrete and steel bits at the bottom of pool which left rust stains at bottom of the pool), they do not have proper staff (sub-contracts the work to other tradies), takes their own sweet time to get jobs done, no replies to email and phone calls. Took them 4 months to install tiles (5m2) and install pump. We had to go through external contractors to finish of the work. We had to call the tilling company and source the materials for our pool. I know it’s a busy period in the construction industry in general but this company is totally unacceptable. Take my word and stay from them will save you your money, time and headaches.

Worked for this company for a few months as a subcontractor. I am now still owed thousands of dollars from invoices well over 8 months old after leaving due to not being paid. All I have received is dodged calls and blocked emails. Anyone thinking of working for this company please reconsider - you will not get paid. Anyone thinking of using the company for its services - the rest of the reviews speak for themselves. Luke, I didn't want to go public mate but this is now the only way I can reach you, pay me my hard earned money and stop robbing these poor customers.

I agree with a lot of the reviews here... worst company ever to deal with! The Sales Rep Neil was amazing and went out of his way to be helpful. (He is no longer with the company but still helped me after leaving.)*Be careful because they broke through my waste pipe and left waste going into my backyard for 2 days into a hole that wasn't fenced either. They refused to fix what they had broken and Luke was so rude and offered to refill the unfenced hole and give me back my money as a solution.*To add to all of this, I had to ask when they were going to finish my job - silicone around the pool edges, the cleaning and the hand over. That dragged on for another 2 weeks, probably because they already had 99% of my money and this also held up all of my other trades. Then to top all of this off, no one at Vasa would reply to my emails about the temporary fencing - that's because they owe that company over $24,000!!!Be better Vasa! Such a shame that you're representing Freedom Pools.

My wife and I were really keen to get a pool for our 2 energetic boys to enjoy the hot Queensland summers. After getting a number of quotes, we decided to pay a little extra to get the piece of mind promised by Vasa Pools. The finished pool and its components are of a very high standard (pool shell; coping tiles; pool pump and filters etc), so big ticks for quality components. The actual pool installers who were contracted to install the pool shell (Jamie and Shawn from Complex Pools) were also fantastic. However, we experienced numerous issues with our build going forward from the initial dig and install of the pool shell, primarily due to a lack of communication between our pool sales representative, the construction manager, the site supervisor and the director. From a customer's perspective, it all seemed completely disorganised and haphazard. We have been in the middle of COVID 19, so we get that it's a challenge for any small business to try to get things 100% in this environment, but we think a lot of our goodwill was lost when our calls were constantly not returned or we needed to send multiple emails across to 3 or more team members to get a response to our queries. The response from Vasa Pools generally fell into three categories:1. No response.2. A defensive tone, essentially denying any issues with the progress of work, or any failure to communicate, and in fact, intimating that the communication issues were from our end. This part in particular left us completely dumbfounded. We have pages of emails and missed call logs to say otherwise.3. The work that needed to be done was already outlined in the contract. It will get done in due course. As a customer, we're not interested in going back and forth to win a point, we just want to be kept in the loop so we can have the confidence that we're getting what we paid for, and that the company is working pro-actively to bring the customer on the journey through the build. We were happy to accommodate and assist wherever possible, if only we knew what was going on. Tried as we may to highlight this on multiple occasions, it just didn't seem to click for Vasa Pools. We even had to organise for paint and concrete stains left over from the build to be cleaned and rectified ourselves out of exasperation of getting any clear action by Vasa to attend to this.In short, we can categorically say that Vasa's conduct through our build was indifferent at best, careless at worst. If that sounds harsh, it's simply our reflection of how bad our experience was.We usually never take the time to write negative reviews, as 99% of the time, our experiences with the building industry have been excellent. However, our experience with Vasa Pools motivated us to share our story on this occasion to inform other prospective customers. Please also beware that some of the other positive reviews are from the owner or suppliers to Vasa Pools.Update 27/07/2020: The owner's response to this review ironically highlights the points I set out above. The details provided in the response are also not accurate, and again highlight the issues around the owner's understanding of what was happening on site.If you're a prospective customer, be prepared to be exasperated by a complete lack of awareness by an owner who simply cannot take ownership of the issues at hand. As a business owner, you'd think that he could have reflected on my review and sought to improve things for the next time. Better still, pick up the phone and talk to the customer.I can't think of a better own goal.

Unbelievably terrible experience. Can not understand how this pool builder is still operating. Contracted with Vasa in Dec 2020 when they were a Compass licensed dealer (arrangement ceased shortly after). Early March 2021, pool shell dumped on our driveway when no one home blocking access to our garage. Our side fence was also knocked down at this point which was problematic as we have 2 dogs. We eventually had to pay to have the damaged fence replaced as it was left to warp on the ground for months while the process dragged out. It was nearly 2 months later before the shell was installed but it wasnt installed level and was also about a metre closer to neighbours fence than it should have been (affecting both our and our neighbours privacy). Vasa attempted unsuccessfully to fix the unlevel issue. 6 months down the track and it appears to be continuing to drop and we are increasingly worried the pool is going to have to be removed and reinstalled (currently waiting on a QBCC inspection). Rude, arrogant, lack of communication, leaving customer to have to constantly chase up why no progress, with one week rolling into the next, excuse after excuse. Months of getting about 1 thing done every 2 months, with one lot of subbies starting a task, work stalling and different subbies coming back to finish the task and constant chasing up by us. The plans were also changed mid-build as they were unachievable but it seems no updated plans were lodged with council. Not sure what we do at this point as original certifier engaged by Vasa has gone out of business and Vasa is not interested in finalising the process. Another concerning practice was invoices were sent before milestones were fully met with '1 day to pay' demands e.g. the invoice for milestone 3 (installation of shell and filtration system - 30% payment) was issued before the filtration was installed or onsite- turned out it wasnt even ordered at the time. The invoice for the milestone payment only made reference to the shell which might have led us to pay it if we hadn't double checked contract. Vasa also insisted the pool heater ($5k) would not be supplied until final commissioning payment (minor $700 payment) instead of with the rest of the filtration system, although there would be little incentive to follow through at this point - at this point alarm bells were starting to go off. Not having the heater installed also meant the electrician couldn't finish hooking up the filtration system so our pool was left to sit green and the electrician was unable to issue their invoice and left unpaid for months. Also when we eventually got the filtration and heat pump, it wasnt the brand agreed on the contract - with no prior discussion with us. Here we are end Jan 2022 with a visibly unlevel, uncertified and possibly uncertifiable pool, still trying to get things sorted. So much stress and worry and it is still not over. Please, please do yourself a favour and avoid this company.EDITED: Firstly Luke, Vasa didn't identify the unlevel issue first as you have implied. I identified it didn't appear level BEFORE the water went in. I was ignored. But as they say 'the water doesn't lie' so when the water went in, there was no denying it. And almost every fencer and landscaper i had come quote on the work we had given up on you following through on also commented on it. After your attempt to level the pool, it measured 17mm out but your email said 13mm? It now appears closer to 20mm out on not just one, but both rear corners i.e. the edge that has a 1m retaining wall supporting (or not supporting) a 1.6-1.8m high slope with no drop edge beam.Secondly, my husband was far from happy with the process and end result but maybe people like you have trouble understanding other people's emotions? He is even less happy after what you have implied about him on a public forum! . How do you sleep at night with all the everyday families you are hurting just for a few extra bucks in your pocket?

We used this company to install a pool. The after sales/installation service was appalling. Multiple defects detected when the certifier came. Pool installed with out council approval. Not returning phone calls and emails, after the problems were identified. Even after the QBCC were involved, defects have not been fixed.Be very careful if you are thinking about using this company.

My neighbor had Vasa Pool install a pool for her and her kids. I was interested in seeing how the job went as I was looking to get one installed on my property. After seeing the quality of the install and the behavior of some of the tradies in my street who were on the job there isn''t a hope in hell I'd use this company.Response to the claim by VASA Pools: Actually good friends with the neighbour, even helped her with her QBCC complaints submission lodged regarding the mess.Cool story bro, needs more dragons.
