Beautiful and peaceful stop along the Great Ocean Road. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for a quick hike. The entire loop took about 30 minutes.

Great easy walk. Trail is kid friendly, too. Vegetation of trees and ferns are beautiful. Nice side trip for your great ocean drive.

Maits Rest Rainforest Walk
A great place to visit. 20-30 mins circuit track. Very well done with crushed stone walking tracks and metal walkways over gullies. I'm not a nature lover by any stretch but thought this free attraction was well worth the stop.

Maits Rest Rainforest Walk
Just a hop, skip and jump outside the town and worth the walk. We enjoyed the rainforest and the history it offers. We fell upon a very knowledgeable bloke who was happy to narrate our walk and fill the little lads minds of all the history and facts.It’s a very busy tourist stop without any toilets. We stopped on the way to cape Otway.

Went for a quick stroll after a long drive. It was beautiful and relaxing, and just the right kind of reset you need from the fast paced life in the city. Wished I lived near the trail so I could go for walks to refresh my mind anytime I want

About half an hour of walking in the rain forest. Freshens the mind and of course your lungs. Some very large sequia trees.

Maits Rest Rainforest Walk
This is a short, easy, stunning walk in the cool temperate rainforest of the Otway Ranges. The paths and walkways are well maintained and the signage is interesting and informative. Of particular significance are the hollow tree and the Mountain Ash. We were lucky to spot a Yellow Robin. It was a tranquil and peaceful stroll. As we returned to the car park, a very noisy group, talking at the top of their voices, were starting the loop. We were thankful to be leaving!

Just a short drive from Apollo bay but it feels like a different world.Wet and cold so make sure to layer up before venturing on this short walk (20-30 mins).

Maits Rest Rainforest Walk
This is one of my absolute favourite places in Australia Victoria. Just a short 30 min walk, but you could spend hours just breathing, listen and take in your sounding and serenity! Haven't been in Australia for 12 years, but just had to come here again!
