Tollgate Motel

Been here several times with my family owner Jessie and his wife are nice always helped when cought up in Adelaide also can get the uber there yay

Actually it was very old motel so most of the rooms are on rent like apartments but the big issue was that there were no security cameras outside and Saturday night somebody was making too much noise in the room so disturbed the whole night sleep.

So the customer service was great. Friendly and pleasant. But the rooms were... not great. I booked 2 rooms and the first was fine. Netflix, decent heater, nice beds and brightly painted. I had to connect the TV aerial but that's no big deal. My room however was a family room in which the heater sort of worked but very slowly, the TV sort of worked but had no Netflix and after 5 mins lost sound, the bathroom sink hot tap had to be turned on before the shower water got hot and that took 3 mins, the toilet had suffered a bout of explosive diarrhoea by the previous guest and wasn't cleaned properly and it was noisy from the freeway it is next to. So on one hand it was ok for the 8 hours I had to sleep there but on the other hand I could have gotten the same pleasure from sleeping in my car. Again, dude was friendly enough but the place needs some work.

Excellent experience will defiantly be back again. Decent size room and very clean overall. The best customer service I've had from a motel in a long time. The owner is a very good, honest man and went above and beyond to keep us happy and made our stay comfortable and welcoming

When we went on their Web sites it said $120 double room. Asked for ground floor, as medical need one.Was charged $130 per night.... stayed 2 and sadly won't stay again.1) We don't smoke yet cigarette burn in quilt. Photo2) Electricity plugs issues. And I need a sleep machine all night. Cut in and out. Photos3) Holes in walls and big cracks. Photos4) We asked for clean towels and got them.... Gray/white.5) Asked for an extra garbage bag to rid medical waste.6) Left room around 9 am for appointments.... new towels put in and small bin was emptied. Our bed was not made7) You don't even get a face cloth. Photo of sign about saving planet8) Extra blankets and pillow was just shoved in cupboards. Not even folded.

I have never seen a more disgustingly dirty motel as this. Could not stay here so moved on

Very lovely and friendly staff. Helpful gave me a phone charger to use while waiting for my partner to return with mine. Lovely staff

Fine hotel. Exactly as it is advertised and a great budget price. Owners pleasant and accommodating. Rooms clean and comfy beds, close to great Adelaide hills hikes.

Very nice bed, but, a few issues that should be addressed. The light switch in the bathroom is loose, and the chance of electrocution is high. The power points in the kitchen area say to use only one point at a time. To me, that means a problem with power leaking, so, again, chances of electrocution is high. And the 4 way power point near the bed was taped up with gaffer tape!! Not good!! My wife uses a CPAP machine, and the power went off numerous times during the night due to the faulty power point. While it was a budget room, and we didn’t expect gold plated taps, we believe that safety is paramount.
