Beautiful overnight stop by river. Seven other vans with room for more. No facilities, need to be self contained. Gold coin pipe on right as you head out to contribute to maintenance. Will return!

Lovely free camping area right on the Tumut River. Quiet roads for cycling. Trout in river. Beautiful.

Camping in self contained vehicles permitted 48 hrs. Donation box onsite for site upkeep. Very quite. One of the best places I have stopped!

Great place for a BBQ or picnic. Tranquil waters from the Blowering Dam Hydro a little way upstream.Easy access from Tumut, just off the Snowy Mountains Highway.

Beautiful!Self-contained only.48 hour stay.$ by donation.The river was up and running clear and cold. I swam, but carefully, wearing old sneakers to make it easier to stand on the rocky bottom, swimming from eddy to eddy to avoid being swept away. Not suitable for weak /unconfident swimmers!
