Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre

An affordable and fun experience for my son. He loved looking at the animals there and got to get close to with the emu and wombat.

Great walk around the lake, long track or short up to you. Cheap entry to the discovery centre and nice array of native animals to see. Wonderfully nice and informative staff. Kayaking and nice swimming

Lovely creek, landscape and lagoon. Recommended for a small walk to relax. Defo try paddle or kayaking (I fell twice into the water, we had strong winds!! Bring a change of clothes just in case). Price is fine, 25$ per person.

Good for the kids, we saw a tree kangaroo, crocodile, frogs, lizards, emu, wombat, fish and turtle. Great for a road trip from Brisbane.

Magical ! Loved the sunbathing turtles laying on the swimming boundary. Lots of friendly wildlife . Not far to walk from the car park. Loved it !

What a hidden gem! This is such a fantastic, affordable place to go for the day! Only about $8 entry for an adult and you get to see so many cute animals!! They are all well looked after too. There's a few activities you can do down by the water too such as swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding for a small fee. A great day out for all ages!

Really great to have such a beautiful natural place so close to the city.The walk around the resevoir is great, also good swimming and kayaking opportunities.

Hidden bush gem. Great place to have a coffee and my little kids loved the animals. Shame about the terrible weed problem :( there are cool bike tracks down the back but they are completely unusable as they have been taken over by weeds.

They had a few animals to discover, a creek you can swim in, and some hikes around the area. It's worth the day!

This was my first time kayaking at Ennoggera Dam. I wanted to give 5 stars but couldn't and waivered between 4 and 5. I took stars off due to the trek from carpark and rough surface to carry it up and down. And Im not a princess, but its more a safety issue. Not having been here before it was a little confusing and lady at reception part gave us wrong info. We finally worked it out though.Now, if your going here to kayak, and take your own, be prepared that you will have to carry it and your stuff from carpark to the dam. My advice, just hire a kayak at the dam. Saves a lot of mucking around as it's a bit of a trek, especially carrying a kayak. Once we got it all sorted it was lovely, very pretty. Well organised and scenic. Its quite a popular spot and you can swim here too. After our kayak, we had lunch at the cafe, which was quite nice and had a lovely outlook.
