Only stopped in for a quick one early one Sunday morning so was the only one in there, but a really nicely laid out bar with plenty of space. Had pint brought over to my table which is also a feat in itself these days so was good service.

It's truly an escape from the centre of Gosford. The opulent vibes and warm timber interior makes for a great steakhouse/saloon vibe. I got the Wagyu X steak which was divine and the Railway burger which is a menu necessity but I think could be improved. Cocktail for good measure for delicious! Great assistance from the team.

Lunch Saturday 20/5/23I Had the cattleman's cut steak & it was Cooked perfectly. The Chips were fresh cut potato with just the right amount of salt and also cooked near perfectly. Chips were crispy on the outside and soft inside as you'd want them. The mushroom sauce was yummy and had chunks of mushroom. The salad dressing was nice but nothing amazing. The service was friendly with a smile and the guy who took our orders was helpful with telling us about the different steaks we could order. The food didn't take long to come out, but in saying that it wasn't very busy at the time we had lunch.-I judge places on their toilets also & the toilets here were clean & modern. They aren't on the same level as Mingaras toilets (mingaras are a 10/10 for the Central coast) but they are still relatively nice bathrooms.-we came from a fair distance away and would be happy to drive again to come back in the future.

Went there last night and was pleasantly surprised to see it being nearly full so booking is essential. Had the 300 gram rump with chips and salad. Chips were a bit soggy but the rest was all good. My wife had the Hunter chicken and enjoyed it. We will be back.

Came here for a birthday lunch, the food was fantastic. I had the beef brisket. So good, except the corn lacked flavour/spices. The malbec was great, and it looked like the whiskey selection was interesting. Good friendly service, but one point taken off for all the TV screens.

The food here is so good. I moved here from the eastern suburbs in Sydney and the food at this pub exceeds all expectations. The Sunday roast was incredible, the beef cheek never disappoints and I’m getting a bit embarrassed about how often I eat here but it’s because the food is so good. Staff are always friendly and the wine list is well chosen and has something for everyone.

Had a work lunch at Railway Hotel the food was delicious and the service was very friendly. Love the staircase. Overall vide was fantastic.The biggest chicken parmigiana ever.

From the minute you ealk in you are greeted by the smiling, polite and friendly bar staff.Didn't matter whether you were served at the steak house, the bar or the wait staff who bring you your meals the service is impeccable and it really sets the toneThe meals were cooked perfectly and whilst they are big servings the plates were empty just right"The schnitzels are enormous and served with the right amount of chips and slaw. Pie with mashie peas and potatoe and gravy .. big pie and the sides were generous.The brisket was value for money and cooked really well.I had the steak and had to make the effort to thank the chef it was just that good
