Top notch local fish and chips spot, the fish was amazing super light and crispy batter that holds it together just enough and falls apart at the bite. Great chips and the calamari rings are not to be missed!

“Sharkies” first day back trading after the new year break. I couldn’t miss this opportunity for the best fish and chips around. Golden Shark Seafood in Gladesville is a must for locals, and anyone looking for a top quality seafood meal, with a range of freshly made salads. I keep my order simple. Battered flathead and chips with extra salt and vinegar. Is that my cardiologist texting me again? C’mon, I walk at least 7km for this, so give me a break. Check the portion size! Who gives you that much fish? Fantastic crispy batter. It really is too much for one person. I really should offer to pay more to get less. Extremely generous.

Food was very overcooked making seafood dry and hard. Very disappointed as when I went there and ordered the first time r seafood was great. Wasn't keen on taste of chips though.

Great value on a lot of their offerings - Fish is always fresh and their batter is light and crunchy.

This is a great little local fish and chip (and more) shop. The crowds tell the story but, although you might wait a few minutes to get your order, the food is very good. Take it down to one of the parks on the river and you've got a good meal. Bliss!

Old school hamburger with the lot was delicious!! Potatoe scallops were good too and not overly greasy. Cool little takeaway shop.

I used to frequent the golden shark and it was my favourite seafood takeaway for over 30km, last time I went back I asked for the same fish I always purchased but when it came out it was absolutely different and I couldn't even finish a second bite or was that bad. They have changed many items of their menu for cheaper (low quality) alternatives but charge the same price as the higher quality food stuffs and don't communicate this to customers.If they did the right thing and told me that they didn't have that fish anymore and/or communicates that the other items I ordered have also changed so as to allow me to ask questions and choose different options that would be one thing but instead they just took my money and served different fish, different soft drink and different sides.And it's not like the shop didn't know what I would / wouldn't like, I have been going there for years 2-3x per week and they knew my name and orders so well that they would often tell me the order before I had a chance to ask. As a hospitality management veteran myself, I just can't understand why they couldn't simply communicate the changes.I don't believe in undertaking something someone wouldn't like and asking for forgiveness later.For years I gave this shop a 5 star rating but not only do I give the food a 1 star now and service 2 stars (at least they remembered my name) but now I also won't return.

The clean store, lower prices & friendly enough service aren’t enough to get me to return here. Because in the end it’s a food business & it’s all about the quality of the eating. It’s the taste of the food that makes a customer return. Was it just the oil that left the lingering unpleasant aftertaste? No amount of crispy batter can make up for that.

The worst fish and chips we have ever got . Couldn’t even eat the salmon and the chips o my god . Even my pup wouldn’t touch them .Will never recommend this place or go back there . Very disappointing
