Dark Carnival is just awesome. Wish I'd started up here way earlier! Excellent community, very friendly and helpful, whilst also having tough training. Great coaches too! Highly recommended.

Great culture for BJJ, its a younger club but a good mix of new players and advanced training partners. Great coaches with awesome knowledge and different styles for any type of game you want to get better at. Couldn't rate the culture high enough, very welcoming and fast friends made.

Trained at the DC for years now. It always impresses me how friendly the Coaches are and how clean the gym is. The coaches take extra care to make sure the culture is friendly, everyone is safe and all fitness levels are accommodated. As a 40yo Female I have no problem recommending this Gym to any an all my friends irrespective of age, fitness or experience.

Outstanding training atmosphere and high knowledge level in the coaches. The right emphasis on culture around respecting the space and training partners. Constant feedback and coaching in sparring without injury and a great deal of effort put into training safely. Highly recommend to anyone experienced, or starting out.

I've been training Muay Thai here for almost 2 years and it's been a great experience. The coaches are very experienced and provide very good training, all while fostering a culture of safety and respect.Despite starting with no combat sports experience, I have never felt pressured into doing anything I wasn't comfortable and I have since grown to do more than thought I was capable of.

As soon as I walked into Dark Carnival the first time I was blown away, and I knew it was going to become a huge part of my life, and I have absolutely loved training there ever since. One of the most impressive things is how extremely friendly the gym is, the coaches are welcoming and take time to get to know you, and they have cultivated an incredible atmosphere where everyone is welcomed.

Dark Carnival is hands down the best martial arts gym in Canberra! It is an awesome place to train. Everyone is super welcoming and encouraging! I’m proud to say I have been there for over a year, time flies when you have fun ;)
