Tropical North Framing are the framers of all my work. They have a great team and are very professional, fantastic to work with. A big range of frames to choose from, great pricing and are always giving suggestions to help present my work in the best possible way. I really value their incite, and our on going relationship.

Framing was done beautifully, however had a frustrating buying experience. When I went into the shop originally to buy the frame, I was told I could get the frame on after pay, they gave me a price and while i was there we divided the amount - $330 - by 4 payments and talked about sorting out the after pay when i picked it up. They told me they had to order the frame in and it'd take a while. I could set up the after pay payments when i come in to pick it up.Over a month later i got a phone call to say it was there and went to pick it up. The shop tried to make out as though they called me and i didnt answer. I told the woman I have apple voicemail - the messages save to my phone and I never miss them. Could be a glitch.I was told that to put it on paywave the shop had to forward on an additional $20 charges from after pay.I was extremely frustrated and told the lady I think that is wrong - I agreed to a price upon an agreement when i originally came into the store and agreed to have the frame made at the set price-$330 which i would pay via after pay. no fee was mentioned - the woman even showed me the quotation which did not have the fee written on it either - i pointed that out to her also. Also, never have I ever in purchasing items using after pay, had an additional fee passed onto me. Never have i ever with any card purchase had a fee of $20 passed onto me. In addition, a friend of mine has purchased framing on paywave from the shop before (how I was referred) said they did not get an additional fee! I researched online to find that after pay fees range from 4-6percent, I calculated that if my fee were at the worst case 6 percent, it would be $19.80. Its only 20c, but the retailer seems to have passed on a higher than calculated fee.$20 or $19.80 might not be much to some, but it is a lot to me, especially when added to an already expensive item.I empathise that some buy now pay later schemes may be costly to retailers, and it is has been a rough couple of years. But it is dishonest when a retailer does not disclose the true cost.. Set the price upon the buying agreement.
