Hands down the best fishing store I've ever been to. The blokes there are super helpful and friendly. If I could give more stars I would and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the store to anyone. I go here over anywhere else in Canberra (/the rest of Australia). Cheers Compleat Angler team - keep up the good work, thankful to have a shop like yours in Canberra!!!

Possibly my favourite shop. They have a great selection of Simms gear. I also love their kayaks, hunting camo, etc. I'm not going to buy fishing gear online anymore - it's more fun going here.

When I popped in here after the store changed name, I was blown away by the massive range of gear, fishing, hobie, yeti… they had everything! Even the most random obscure items, they had what I needed. All the staff I’ve dealt with have been great, helpful but not pushy, and the loyalty program is totally worthwhile. Prices are good too. Can’t recommend enough!

Great range and helpful service. We have purchased clothing, rods, reels and tackle. Been inland they cater very well for freshwater but aren't limited to it. Certainly purchase from them again.

I used to shop here regularly on my trips down to the Snowys. I recently had an awful experience with them trying to get a warranty repair. Snapped a rod on the fist cast in February - defect in the construction. Went back to them for a replacement and they said they'd send it to the manufacturer for warranty.Called back 8 times between Feb and July. Often they couldn't even find a record of my warranty claim till Joe Blogs came back from smoko and called me back. No progress and rudeness on many calls.Last time I called (yep, couldn't find it again) the guy I spoke to said I could get the section replaced for an 'expeditment payment' of $170. Suspect and illegal. Six months without my rod too.They have good products here no doubt, but take your business elsewhere if you value service, trust and ethics.
