Vaucluse House
An interesting house with an interesting story. The Vaucluse House, which is now a free museum, is worth a walk. The restaurant on site is good too, offering both meals and afternoon tea. We ordered a beef cheek and a seafood pasta, both of which were quite good. It is a tranquil place with a beautiful garden. The long table at the restaurant is so perfect for a family gathering!

Beautiful historical and architectural house. Very friendly staff and great tour guide. Really enjoyed to walk through the history. I love vintage furnishing and beautiful garden. Have free parking on site and Italian restaurant just near by, food very good, however very pricy. Access with pram and kids friendly place. However without pram would be better to walk through house. Thank you so much, would love to back in the future.

Today we drove by to visit the gardens at Vaucluse House, We discovered that there is FREE entry and decided to have a look - we were welcomed royally and given a tour of the house in great detail - the incredible history of the home and the wonderful furniture and art made it something very special - Thanks to the staff who were all next level amazing!

Vacluse House and the garden are great places to visit. Going there on 24 December was a good idea. Almost no visitors and just a couple of cars in the parking area. The map you receive is very messy. Not at all thought through. All the numbers do not reconcile to the numbers on the doors. We were not offered an audio guide. I did not even know they were available until seeing a tourist inside using one. You need to guess what is what. Also, the history of this place is way more interesting than a brief summary on the leaflet. Make sure you go to all the buildings and around the house including the kitchen garden . The entry was free and we'll worth it 5/5, but the organisation of it all could be better 2/5. Overall 3.5/5.

Nice little spot for functions receptions wedding etc. Really nice views and the restaurant staff are very friendly. The menu options were quite extensive and the staff were very helpful in walking through the options. The drive there is a tad bit windy but it's nothing too daunting.

Well maintained Vaucluse family house, now converted to a museum which shows the early history of migration in the aboriginal lands. This place has been well looked after and it’s worth visiting. Entry is free and a guided tour is provided. Staff are very friendly.

I had my birthday high tea there yesterday. We were a party of 14. The food was exceptional and service was discreet and sophisticated. One of my friends said I feel like I've been away for the weekend

Great information around and it's really cool to see how people used to live in the house. Really well presented and the staff are nice and friendly. Audioguides are great.

This is a beautiful place to visit. Would highly recommend. As one of Sydney's only surviving 19th century harbourside estates this is something that is a must see! You will not be disappointed!
