Hughenden Visitor Information Centre

Outstanding customer service. When we had problems they came out to the saleyards to fit a hose and show us how to operate the washdown facility. Exceptional and friendly service.Their directions are built on intimate local knowledge. Thoroughly recommend.

Brilliant man helped us out! He was so quick with booking us accomodations for the night because there was only one left! He was beyond helpful, thoughtful, energetic and kind. Couldn’t recommend him more! Sadly I don’t know his name.

Chanelle at the Visitor Info Centre was outstanding in her service to us and advice when we visited on 5th July 2022. Friendly, local, down to earth and with a wealth of information. Such a wonderful sense of humour, cheerful and helpful. Gave us great tips including sunset at Mt Walker and information on Porcupine Gorge a highlight for us. She is a wonderful asset to Hughenden and ambassador for the area. Museum was good value too. Please ask the Council to fix the cattle grid approximately 40 kms from Hughenden on the way to the Gorge or at least put up some warning signs asking people to reduce speed to about 40 kph or less as it was brutal!

Had a brillant experience when I visited the visitor information centre and dinosaur museum. The staff were so helpful and friendly.

We have travelled for a while now and found this information centre the best so far. Friendly staff, interesting displays and unlike most it is reasonably priced. Entry to display is $5 and there is lots to see. We spent up big in the gift shop. Great Work.

I can't praise this information center enough. Last month we stayed at Hughenden and went out to Porcupine Gorge for the day. Coming back up the gorge I lost my new prescription glasses. Last week as a long shot I rang Hughenden information center just in case some kind person found them and handed them in. I was in luck, someone had. The lovely lady I spoke to posted them to me interstate. They arrived in perfect condition today. Thank you Hughenden team.
