I normally frequent this establishment but since the refurbishment I have to say - the service has been absolutely woeful. I came to sit in and get a coffee and a bite to eat. There was sign saying please wait to be seated" - I waited and not a single staff member came to greet me or assign a seat. I watched them walk past me and completely ignore me ( I am 6'4" - not easy to miss) so I took a seat outside and no one brought a menu or acknowledged my existence.I went to the take away counter to order and found the hostess to be very apathetic in her manner towards me. I had to repeat my order several times.Simply the worst experience I have had at this establishment. I won't be giving my patronage in future. For great Portuguese tarts and superior baked goods

Was excited for the renovation thinking it will be bigger for seating. Unfortunately it’s very crammed and the seats are very uncomfortable. The open grill just creates smoke and isn’t pleasant. It’s still ok for takeaway pastry and coffee (although cup sizes are smaller than most cafes).Overall, not the best place to unwind at a cafe but yummy pastries and good tasting coffee. Also! You will be paying $4.80 for a bottle of water on public holidays.

I was too hungry to take pics.I got the egg & bacon with avocado on sourdough. 2 gripes are eggs were not over easy so the egg wouldn't go everywhere. I guess I couldve asked, but I didn't know. The other is they are using 'American' cheese. Cheese slices aren't cheese. They really need to get something better because the cheese slices really kills the flavours. The mango smoothie is incredible, and, of course, the pastries are amazing. So good! Can't go past the olive souirdough, too. :)

Good coffee & great very reasonably priced food. We had the abacate and the bacon & egg roll (veggie version with avocado & hash-brown). Thankful for the outdoor heaters & blankets when sitting outside.Staff are lovely!

The place, food and service are great. I always go on weekends and the staff is so good. If you are looking a great place to brunch and eat good pastries this is the best option.

I had the 85 degree eggs with bread and pepe saya butter and my partner had eggs Benedict. We came for the portuguese tarts snd some almond croissants. Hands down the best tarts in Sydney. The crossiant was heaven as well.

I went here for brekkie on a Sunday morning and this place was packed! It's little wonder. The coffee was delicious and my partner had a blat, while I enjoyed my eggs Benedict. I really adored the Portuguese touches at this place though, such as the azulejos napkins and the standout pasteis de nata.

Used to be one of my faves. Now one of the worst.. Came for my birthday .. the kitchen stove broke and there was smoke everywhere. 6 of us had to get up multiple times and go outside for air.Food lacked flavour, the salad hardly had dressing and the chicken wasn’t even good. Confusing menu. The staff were also so rude !No compensation for what was happening and I emailed them after and nothing was offered. Won’t be back
