Amanda and her staff are exceptional, in the care of all things great and small. The high level of care and love for animals is expressed each time one of my fur family is treated. Amanda calls it as she sees it and always goes above and beyond to achieve the best outcome for your pet

Amanda has been my vet for 6 years she is caring and compassionate to all her animal clients she just loves them all.She is an amazing vet and always has the answer to to whatever is needed to make them better. I have 2 Bichons and I would never go to another vet as I do not believe there is better vet in the area. When i take one of my dogs to Amanda I have always had the answer to their problem solved or what needs to be done when I walk out the door she is also a pretty nice person. Her vet hospital is of such a high standard, Her staff are always gentle and caring people if I could I would personally give Amanda 10 stars. Well done WindanseaJune Townsend.

Dear Amanda and staff,Thank you so much for your expert care of all our animals. I'd like to share the following eulogy in memory of our old girl .Susan ‘Suzie’ Bowman (July 21st 2002 – October 9th 2019) aged 17It is with great sadness we record the peaceful passing of Suzie.Suzie was the proud Staffordshire/Boxer daughter of Spud and Xena of Half Chain Road, Rainbow Flat, being born on July 21st 2002. She carefully selected her adopted family soon after that.Suzie was a spirited youngster of strong mind and will, who on occasion needed discipline to maintain her pack position. Early on she showed keenness for a career in hospitality and took to her role as ‘front of house’ manager with a natural zeal. Visitors often remarked, after some initial trepidation, of how welcoming and helpful she was, especially noting her unique shoe valet parking system.Suzie moved quickly through the ranks to head of security, maintaining exceptionally high standards of monitoring and alertness, often on 24-hour call, until her medical retirement due to hearing loss in 2017. But it was her life calling to be appointed equerry to Princess Judy and it was this role that defined her. Many a well-mannered tradesperson would be required to pass a rigorous security check before being allowed access to the household.Suzie was a talented athlete, excelling at high jump, long distance running, 50m dash, swimming (not bathwater) and of course walking. She quite enjoyed a game of Frisbee, but these tended to be short lived as the aerodynamic properties of the Frisbee degraded quickly with teeth impact.Suzie also enjoyed travelling, especially camping and visiting family, in preference to the more luxurious pet lifestyle resorts. She liked nothing better that to join friends and family at the dining room table. Her manners were exemplary and favourite foods included salmon and pea risotto, roast chicken, cake for dessert.Suzie will be sadly missed by the Royal Family, HRH Judy, Joel, Andy and Glen, her close friends Hunter the Golden Retriever, Toby the Jack Russell, Bella the Beagle and those who have had a shoe magically repositioned when calling. She will be only somewhat missed be Esther and Chelsea the family cats.Suzie’s wonderful life could not have been possible without the professional care, love and support of Amanda Wood and her amazing staff at Forster’s WindanSea Vets. Thank you all for her care over the years, no more so that his week when she and we needed it the most. Your kindness and sensitivity at this time was most appreciated. There is no greater accolade to an Australian pet than, Suzie was a bloody good dog.And she would knowFor it was sheWho said that II looked happyIn the photosWhere I would poseWith the petsThat I once hadBut they’re all gone nowTo earthen bed(exert from Ghost of My Old Dog, Jason Lytle)“In your basket Sue!”With love Judy, Glen, Joel and Andy x

I cannot praise Amanda and her staff highly enough. Having recently moved to the area, Amanda was highly recommended to me by our dog groomer, Rochelle.Jessie, our 16 week Miniature Labradoodle puppy had been suffering with a runny tummy since we brought her home and despite many visits to our vet in Newcastle, she wasn't gaining weight & her condition was not improving. We took Jessie to see Amanda for her vaccination and upon hearing Jessie's history, she was immediately taken to the hospital area and a sample taken. Amanda was able to immediately diagnose Jessie with Campylobacter and as she expected, further laboratory testing also revealed Giardia. Amanda was certain that Jessie had come from the breeder with these infections. It was such a relief that after 9 weeks of worry about our little girl and constant vet visits, Amanda had the skill and the knowledge to diagnose our sick puppy and get her back on the road to good health.Jessie is now 6 months old and is no longer a 'bag of bones' but a happy and healthy little girl, thanks to Amanda.John and are so grateful to Amanda and would highly recommend her as a very knowledgeable, skilled and caring Veterinarian who will give your pet the best care possible.Sue & John Johnson

Amanda was recommended to me & I was told she was a brilliant vet who incorporates alternative therapies into her practices. To say I am blown away by her knowledge, care, straight to the point and passionate approach is an understatement. From the moment Morri and I entered, I felt like FINALLY we were in the rite place to get his issues sorted out. Amanda & the whole team are so genuine. I felt an instant connection and never questioned their motives or intentions as they are 100% for the animal (which unfortunately is not the case at some of the other vets I have visited in the area). Amanda went above and beyond to get to the bottom of Morri's problems & then gave me a whole range of options to help him. Could not recommend the team at WindanSea enough!!

Dr Amanda Wood is the most amazing Vet. Her standard of care is truly exceptional and the members of her team are really wonderful. Our 14yr old Poodle needed surgery.Talking to Amanda prior to surgery made it very clear to us that her work ethic, dedication, incredible knowledge, skill and meticulous approach to surgery and anaesthesia, especially for older animals is OUTSTANDING which assured us our beloved “Jasper” was in great hands with the VERY BEST of care.Jasper has a new lease on life now. He is far more lively than before, acting like a puppy again. He is so happy and so are we. After finding Amanda and team we would not go to any other Vet.Special thanks also to Di the Vet Nurse who assisted Amanda and was invaluable during surgery. Our town is so lucky to have such an incredibly high standard of Veterinary Care available at Windan’Sea.A standard of care, which is definitely second to none.Di and Peter

I met Amanda 3 years ago!Our dog was very sick, when we were told what was wrong with Gemma, Amanda put it how it was, but we prefer that than for to be lead on!We since have another dog on recommendation from Amanda, we thank her for Nardia.Amanda is the most thorough Vet I've come across in many years, she's very knowledgeable and honest .I respect Amanda's opinion, she always gets back to you if you have worries about your pet.I highly recommend WindanSea Vets.I class Amanda as a friend not just the Vet.

Amanda is without a doubt the most amazing Vet I have ever known in all of my decades of owning dogs !! She recently literally saved my beloved dog Teddy's life and went above and beyond to do this for me as she knew how much I loved him and how important he is to me. Her endless skills as a Vet are secondary only to her own genuine love of animals and her compassion and empathy. Her team of girls are also super special, efficient ,loving and caring. All in all they are without the ANIMAL DREAM TEAM . With so much gratitude always, Sharon and Teddy
