I made donation for 5 or 6 months, then call them in April 2017 to stop donation due to income changes. I promised that I would donate again when my condition gets better. But my money got deducted from account today on 13/05/17 on Saturday. Can you believe this? They got my money on Saturday when bank even doesn't work. I do not believe HRI, I won't donate to this institute again.

Have to say I now agree with all the negative reviews on here - I have donated in the past but absolutely will not anymore given how much they bug me with their incessant phone calls! So many missed calls and 'messages' left on voicemail that is just the sound of them hanging up - so annoying! When will charities learn that people might continue regular donations if they weren't pestered so much?

Spam Callers from The Heart Research Institue dialing at 7:40pm at night and the guy on the end is just breathing doesn't say a word.Stop harassing people for donations.

I had 2 representatives for HRI knock on my door this afternoon. They seemed really nice, gave me their speel. I made it clear I was happy to give a once off donation. No they said, we only accept ongoing monthly donations, minimum $37 per month.I said no, I won’t do ongoing monthly donations.WHY? They say....Well, just don’t want to and really none of your business why.Long story short, they went on and on. So many cringey compliments, so much fluff. Then they ask for my ID and my credit card details. Why do you want that I ask? “Oh, so we can bill you for the monthly donation” WHAT? I don’t want that?!Yet they still went on. Trying to make me feel bad.So uncomfortable, and such a waste of my time, and of course theirs!

Honestly have never spoken with such a rude charity before. I called the 1800 number today at approximately 12:30pm. The lady who answered asked what my enquiry was regarding to which I advised I wanted to cease the automatic debits (i.e., donations). There was some confusion on my end as I had sent an email to Heart Research Foundation instead of HRI. I advised I was definitely a supporter of HRI. She asked for my name to which I advised and then she got snappy and said yeah and what's your last name". She said she couldn't find me on their system

My husband got rang from this number to his UNLISTED mobile telephone number. 02 80311341 was the number that called. When my husband asked the caller how he got his number, he was told it was randomly selected. But how did you know my name if it's random"? my husband inquired. "Oh

I have supported HRI for years with donations but due to a change in income had to discontinue my donations. However, the donations started again without my authorisation with 2 deductions from my bank account so far although I provided written and telephone instruction to cease along with instruction to return the funds. To date, I have not been reimbursed and may have to visit my bank to stop the transactions.

Cancelled my donation and still they take money out .think it's time to get my lawyer onto these people.wont take a call and verble cancell.even after they say they will

Used to donate monthly to HRI, did it every month for 7 years then I started getting phone call after phone call asking me to increase my monthly donation. I refused believing that I was already doing enough, and a lot more than most. So I warned them that if I got one more phone call asking for more money, I would cancel my donation completely. Then BAM ! another phone call looking for more money. So I cancelled the donation completely, now I keep getting calls from rude little grubs at my office wanting me to reinstate the donation. Take a hike HRI, I'm done with you, and tell your telemarketers to pull their grubby little heads in.

Not a big fan of charities that hassle you out front of supermarketsEDIT:Elaborate on my post? How it’s as simple as stop posting your reps out front of super markets when people are trying to do their shopping.I’d rather not be hollered at when I’m trying to do my shopping and being told to “come on i won’t take too much of your time” I don’t wanna hear it, I’ll donate to charities that don’t hassle me at shopping centres thank you
