Clovelly Hotel
Visited for dinner for a mate’s birthday. It was a Friday night and service was good. Young energetic staff, aesthetically what you’d expect in a nice pub near the beach, good size screen with the footy on and I enjoyed my parmy which was a decent size and price. Parking surprisingly was not hard to find on street, must have been a quieter Friday night.

Attended a private function on Saturday the bar service is pretty lame, half of the staff always chatting instead of serving, one time a couple female staff grabbed each others hand and walked off instead of serving me. Nowadays, you're lucky to get a please or thank you but a smile in your voice goes along way but don't expect that here, in fact you feel as though you're bothering them when you ask for your drink.

Love the venue and the vibe but severely let down by the attitude of the management and the terrible food, some of the worst pub food in Sydney.They try to promote being child and dog friendly but dog’s can’t be left unattended, albeit tethered to a table on a leash, even outside, just to take your child to the toilet. Management suggested we left our 4 year old so one parent could watch the dog outside and the other parent could take our 2 year old to the toilet.The attitude of the management is evident that they don’t have kids or dogs. They instructed two bouncers to stand next to our table with myself, my wife and our two kids, 2 and 4 years old, until we vacated our table and the venue.Horrific experience.

Clean, well staffed and positive environment at the Clovelly hotel. We had a private event and the staff were attentive, professional and available. The food and drink were quality and overall a great evening.

We went for comedy night and it did not disappoint! Will was amazing and the staff super friendly and helpful. Amazing cocktails and one of the best parmies to date! My team are begging me to take them back there ASAP!!

AWFUL FOOD & BAD SERVICE - they claim the steak is ‘wagyu’, I don’t think the chef knows what this means, or I hope they don’t, as it will be bloody expensive for the owner to import steak from Japan and overcook 4 of them. DRINK service was terrible, felt like I was rudely interrupting barstaff’s chats and then they half fill drinks, pouring half prosecco’s because they didn’t want to open another bottle - very amateur and lazy.The one star is for the location!

Went here to have a nice dinner with wife and kids. After I thought I had politely ordered, a tall brunette bartender refused to proceed until I said the word please. Very odd flex. I reiterated with a please added on and was met with a snide remark under her breath. Recognise bartenders deal with a tough crowd and they have my respect, but I have never had someone in hospitality be needlessly difficult . The food was great. But if this were my business I would fire this staff member

Why tf is there no more coleslaw with the bloody chicken schnitzel. Ruins the meal with the rocket. BRING BACK THE SLAW

Terrible steak and terrible value for money unless you want the cheap schnitzel that they pump out with no care. I paid twice the price and received half the qty of food. Now I have to go somewhere else for another meal because I'm still hungry. Just another bistro where the food is far from good
