We’re visiting from Tassie and couldn’t wait to take the kids to see the giant rocking horse. We bought some souvenirs from the shop but upon leaving saw a small sign saying not everything in the shop was made there. That really put a dampener on our purchase as when I checked the box it said ‘made in China’. The lady working was really grumpy and we overheard a few people commenting the same.I definitely recommend going to visit regardless.

A small tourist place 50 minutes away from Adelaide . The big rocking horse is a nice climb for $2 . Kids had fun climbing up to the top . One of them almost got lost between the multiple levels . There is a small animal feeding center in the back with some peacocks , lamas , sheep’s , kangaroos and birds . The cafe here is alright . We tried three different breakfast options and they were alright . The coffee was better . The staff can a bit more courteous and handle things with a smile . The top shop has some wooden toys which are really interesting . Takes you back to your childhood days . Loved the rocking horse and others toys . Just a alright place .

The Toy factory and the Rocking Horse share the same address. The toy factory was neat and I heard they make and assemble wooden toys which can be purchased from the shop. From here we purchased tickets for the animal park for $3 per person.

Extremely unfriendly and impolite staff who think they are doing a charity up there! No tickets are given for the money that we pay to purchase but they were instantly rude when I just asked if I could take a stroll at the toy factory first and then get to the park!! Like seriously what would happen? They also didn't let us buy animal feed saying the animals are overfed. But immediately sold it to others who were behind us!I had elderly international visitors with me and this is what they see!Average Cafe, not easy to climb up the rocking horse specially for elderly and park was unclean and animals poorly kept (bird cages) just like any third world country!Overall poor experience and will notrecommend!

We love visiting this South Australian icon!An affordable day out at $4 entry and $2 for a bag of food or $5 for a bucket to feed the animals! Lovely grass picnic area and playground for the grandkids!

Excellent location. Now the zoo ticket price is $4 for both adults and children. The food for feeding the animals is $2 a pack: an excellent price. Not a lot of animals inside, but enough to keep the kids entertained. There were two alpacas inside, one white and one brown. They were brilliant and intercepted me at the entrance and ate a whole food bag. I regret not buying more at the ticket counter as they looked hungry for food. The toy and gift store at the ticket counter is worth browsing, and I loved the stuff inside. Fair prices and good quality. This toy store has a factory inside, and some of the wooden toys are made in Australia, or they are, and some are not. If you are concerned about whether this is made in Australia or locally made, I suggest you ask before you buy because their store staff is charming.Overall, if it is to explore nature with children, to pass the time, and the road is not very far for you (because they are a bit remote), then this is a good choice.Best friendly tip: If you can, please don't wear flip-flops to the zoo. There's a lot of uncleared sheep poop there.

It is a far drive from the city about 58 mins, make sure you buy your petrol before you go, countryside is more expensive. Entry fee.is reasonable as well as animal pellet food. Animals in most part are tame enough to pet, still don't make sudden moves which may startle them.... keep tabs on your kids. My family was startled by the cafe/restaurant in that only 1 staff among 6 wore a mask. My family were.masked up, is it too much to ask for staff to be likewise masked?? Toys and gifts were varied in price and well worth supporting.7/10 for a great attraction 4/10 restuarant/cafe

Have always loved the big rocking horse for a visit. Good to see the animals are looking better than last time, they are all healthy happy and accept all the pats you can give. Haven't actually climber the rocking horse for a while, but if you haven't you should. The toy shop is always wonderful to visit, and don't mind the kids I got excited! Ended up with both grandparents having an armful of toys for the little one, and we got the ride-on semi. Good toys are worth investing in, and that smile on his face when he rode it around the house with toys on board was priceless. Some of the puzzles we were gifted were a little rough, an area for improvement. Where the pegs are the wood is splintered. For the price there should be better finishing and attention to detail, and this should improve going forward.
