GNY Accountants

Absolutely useless at responding. Not what you want in an accountant. Go elsewhere, I implore you.

IN ANSWER TO GNY RESPONSE- HE REMOVED ME IN AUGUST 2016 AND REINSTATED ME APPROXIMATELY 4 MONTHS LATER ONLY AFTER I SENT IN THE COMPLAINT TO THE BODY OF CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS. IT WAS AFTER MY COMPLAINT THAT HE REINSTATED ME IMMEDIATELY.A PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTANT WOULD HAVE ASKED ME TO HAND IN A FORMAL RESIGNATION BEFORE PROCEEDING. HE DID NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH CONTACTING ME IN THE PAST TO SIGN DOCUMENTS.GNY MANAGED ALL OUR ACCOUNTS AND FINANCES AND HAD AND HAS A VERY CLOSE RELATIONSHIP WITH MY X. HE CONTINUED TO ACT UNPROFESSIONALLY DURING THE SEPARATION WHILE STILL MANAGING ALL THE INCOME FROM OUR PROPERTIES. HE ACTED DELIBERATELY TO FAVOUR OUTCOMES FOR MY X WITH OUR FUNDS DURING THE SEPARATION.Prepared to behave unethically when dealing with couples, assisting in not disclosing to one party. For example, removed me as a Director of one of our companies without my knowledge, without my resignation and kept silent afterwards. Lied to the Body of the Chartered Accountants after I put in a complaint. He reinstated me immediately but again acted unethically by reinstating me with Zero shares, no disclosure and kept silent on this as well. He was the family accountant for approximately 5 years by then always representing both husband and wife with a duty to act ethically towards both parties. I would not ever recommend him.

Gil and his staff have always responded quickly to any queries and my SMSF returns have been attended to promptly and efficiently.We all have a duty of disclosure and to provide honest and accurate information to those representing us. I have no complaints whatsoever.

There are better bookkeepers out there, look somewhere else. A decent bookkeeper is somebody you can really contact!!! Frustrated

I switched to GNY Accountants more than five years ago and haven't looked back. They are prompt, professional and knowledgeable, and provide great customer service. Highly recommended.

Gil is the best tax accountant I've ever used. Full stop.I've been through a lot of tax accounts in my time, and none even come close to Gil. He is patient and knowledgeable, especially when things get a wee bit complicated (for example, short term rentals, crypto, and freelancer/working from home income/deductions).I'll never use anyone else.
