Desire Books and Records
One of my favourite places in Manly. Desire Books is a treasure trove of 2nd hand books & LPs, including some rare 1st editions. It has a great vibe with old typewriters as part of the decor. Staff are welcoming & knowledgeable, & the store is well set out with books curated into categories, making it easy to find things.

Been to numerous record shops whilst in Sydney, this was my favourite by far, had a great conversation with the friendly staff, they have a real eclectic mix of vinyl and a fantastic selection of books, something for everyone.

Cool and quirky little shop with a highly friendly owner who is always happy to have a chat about musical tastes and providing recommendations.Records and clothing are a mix of old and new, with constant rotation and variety. Can be good for a rare find. Prices are very reasonable.Themed and changing shop-front (at least monthly) is awesome and a highlight of the daily drive past.

What an amazing and cosy little book and vinyl seller. I got some amazing LPs to add to my growing collection at a very low cost. So well organised and you can see the amount if effort that has gone into decorating the store. Books all excellent condition and great prices. Worth the short detour off the Corso.
