Mikala catered for my 1920s Themed birthday party. My guests kept saying to me during the evening, and after, how delicious the food was, and indeed it was. The canapés were interesting and served beautifully. Mikala took over the kitchen and there was nothing I needed to do! It was brilliant! She work with me before the event to ensure everyting ran smoothly, and catered for all dietary needs. I would highly recommend Aurora Catering - some of my guest have already asked for her contact details for their events. Thank you!

Mikala made the night such a success by making beautiful food for our guests to share. The choices were fabulous and everyone loved the salads, and canapés were arranged with her. Her staff were fabulous and nothing was too much trouble for them. They set up in our kitchen and cleaned up, which let us have fun at our party. I would highly recommend Mikala from Auroroa catering for your dinner party or event.

Mikala and her lovely team catered for my husband's 30th dinner for 19 people - and smashed it out of the park. Mikala was a delight to communicate with in the lead up to the event. I was able to hire dinnerware and cutlery through Aurora Catering, which made set up a breeze. The menu offering was amazing and the food well and truly exceeded expectations. The food was hot, presented beautifully and also served 50/50 drop, meaning guests could swap as they pleased or share dishes with their partners and effectively try two different meals for each course. It was restaurant quality in the comfort of our home and an experience we'll never forget. Thank you so much!!

We booked Aurora for a private dining experience for our small elopement and WOW! We were absolutely blown away by the professionalism, quality + flavours Mikala and her team dished up!All of our guests sat in silence while eating because it was THAT GOOD! Everything was cooked to perfection, served at the same time + presented so beautifully. It was a definite highlight of the night!! The charred bugs were a front-runner along with the maple carrots!Aurora also catered to a special request of a charcuterie board, which was absolutely demolished by our guests (the garlic dip was to die for!) and we loved that everything was sourced locally.Thank you so much Mikala for a meal that filled our hearts, as much as our bellies! If you're planning your next event, I cannot recommend Aurora enough. You will be kicking yourself if you don't!

Mikala and the team catered our wedding this past weekend. To say it was amazing doesn't even scratch the surface.After a rather stressful morning Mikala turned up ready to go, and it was so lovely to finally meet her face to face.We challenged Mikala with a entirely vegan wedding and she smashed it out of the park. We have had so many compliments from all our guests (most are not vegan).I had so many lovely moments chatting to the team as the whipped up a storm in our kitchen on site.Thankyou Aurora Catering and Events for plating up a wedding dinner to remember. ❤️

Mikala (owner) accepted my catering event via Oneflare. We talked in person and via email about costs and menu choices. She provided an invoice and then cancelled less than 24 hours before the event leaving me without catering for a work event. My boss chewed me up as I’d already turned down other companies to go with Aurora. This is such a no no for a catering company as I couldn’t get anyone else at such short notice. The food looked amazing, such a shame I never got to try it!

We paid for an event to cater for 16.The event was the bbq meat with spit package.Sadly half the meat was under cooked and even though 2 people didn’t show for the event (less numbers) there still wasn’t enough meat.We found out from our guests it’s because they had to take more meat to try and find cooked bits.Unfortunately I’m a mother of two so I got to dinner late and got no chicken because of the undercooked portions.The worker was a very nice person and clean up was great. But I wouldn’t recommend you do the bbq with them.When we gave the feedback the next day the owner she just came back saying thanks for the feedback.Not good enough, poor response (customer service) for how expensive the package is! We wouldn’t book again.

Wonderful friendly catering girls, food was innovative, tasty, filling. Excellent skills in food prep, sevice and cleaning up. I would live to have them cater a party for me.
