Village Functions at Rookwood

This place is getting worse every time I go there for a wake. Disorganized , no appeal to food provided. Just convenient.

Could not have asked for a better send off for my father Staff are 100% Caring and professional.The venue is clean and discreet along with COVID safe practicing.Food is of a very high quality and enough for all my 48 mornersI will use this venue again it's perfect location and outstanding service make it a no brainier

July 2020 our family organised a wake after my Dad's funeral and thought that the Village Function Centre presented well and was convenient. We chose a modest menu but failed to ask HOW MUCH food per person was included. We knew what was included but not how much. In the end one plate of Arancini balls was served up, cookies, coffee and tea. When I asked the manager about the small quantity of food, he said we were entitled to one arancini ball per person. He then provided another plate saying he was doing it out of goodwill. After the event, I complained to their office and they replied that there WAS an error in their supply. It should have been two arancini balls per person not one (wow!). They refunded me some money but let's face it, it was too late. I would rather have paid more and had a respectable spread for my visitors. The moral is ask a lot of questions about what you get for the money". If I had asked up front

A good place to have a cuppa and sandwiches before the funeral.

Team at Rookwood fuction centre were very helpful in organizing a beautiful setting for 60 people for my father's funeral.The light meal buffet package was beautifully presented, generous & very filling.Thank you team Rookwood for brightening an otherwise sad day!
