Plenty of books. Owner Tania was very friendly and helpful. Once it is finished being set up again will be a real gem. Loved the mural on the side of shop. Would recommend a visit to any avid reader.

Great find! I love used book stores but usually they are a bit of a mess. This one is so well organized so you can really feel like you can search for things properly. I found tons of great books. The owner was so helpful also. Highly recommend.

A big selection of books. A nice place to browse if you don't know what you want to read next. They can put together a bundle of books for you depending upon your tastes.

I live out West. but make the journey to this bookshop full of treasures as I'm able to find books of quality and timelessness. Rare finds and classics at a fraction of the price of Dymocks. The people who own the store are just lovely and brilliant at helping you find exactly what you are looking for. Today I bought a collectable edition of Irish songs for my Da in a Nursing Home. I also bought a dictionary on philosophy, complete work of Keats and collection of short stories by Issac Asimov. All up about $60 which is great value as one is a rare book. Close to Hornsby Station and there is on Street parking. Personally, whenever I shop there, it's like the perfect book falls into my hands. It took me an hour to get here, now my only problem is choosing what to read on the journey home!

If you’re travelling from elsewhere to visit this store in Hornsby, call first to check they’re open. Today was the 3rd time recently I’ve come to visit the store, only to find it closed and dark, when it supposed to be open. The last time I found it miraculously open, I discovered some good books inside.

Amazing secondhand book store that has an incredible range of books; you really could spend all day here. Ordered a mystery book bundle due to the Sydney lockdown and received 5 great books that all look really exciting to read. Highly recommend a visit

What an incredible adventure I had at The Bookplate today. Very knowledgeable owner and the young man browsing in the store was a wiki of knowledge. We shared stories, but mostly books. Now, I have more places to go, people to see, photos to take and books to read! A must stop for anyone looking to locate the unique. Get the owner to share his copy of the kid's book called: It's A Book. Such a cute story about two characters and the dichotomy between technology and the real thing!

I live on the Central Coast but will always make time to come visit The Bookplate. A gorgeous family run second hand bookshop full of goodies waiting to be discovered. It's so easy to forget time in this store. Staff are super friendly and full of knowledge.

If you love books, then you'll love The Bookplate. So many books to cover all interests. Warm and inviting, quiet and calm, some chairs are available so you can relax and have a peek into that book you're considering before you buy. Tanya owns this lovely labyrinth of a bookshop and she's very approachable, friendly and happy to answer any questions you may have. As is her dad who holds the fort while Tanya's not around, I always pop in when I make a trip to Hornsby and would highly recommend you do the same and have a wander around this great bookshop.

This is the greatest bookshop ever!!!!!! Although, I am slightly biased because I own it ...But anyway, we have every single genre you can think of, a reading room at the back with free wifi and comfy chairs, occasional events on a weekend (check our facebook page) and we (my dad & I) are basically huge nerds that are obsessed with books, so we're sure to be able to help you find what you're looking for.Come visit! <3 the bookplate
