Warm, dry on a wet day, but so full of history. Big shout out and thank you to the very knowledgeable custodian. Make sure you visit, and don't forget a donation.

Interesting place. The volunteer staff were very keen to show us around and tell stories. The majority of the furniture are original and dated back like a hundred years ago. A lot of works have been done to maintain the building. For example preserving the wall paper alone costed at least $50k so far.

This post office in old Walhalla village is a fascinating view into what a gold rush era post office would have looked like. It is staffed by volunteers, and Ben was very helpful in showing us around. The rooms were complete with antique clothing and furniture from the era, and was described to me as a photographer's dream". I highly recommend a visit if you're in the area"
