We purchased a reverse cycle system from Costaair at the beginning of March this year – 2022. It replaced our broken evaporative air-conditioning system and our old gas ducted heating system.From our first contact with Michael Costa in the Costaair Showroom, right through to installation, we received professional, helpful, friendly advice. Installation occurred quickly and was done by a very professional, and efficient team, and they, and they did a great job of cleaning up and removing all the rubbish from our old systems. The plasterer who repaired our ceilings after the old vents were removed did a fantastic job.Removal, installation, and ceiling repairs happened all in one day – a very impressive effort, and a job well done by all of them.Two systems were recommended for our home, and the Samsung unit we chose works really well. It cooled our house down perfectly during the hot weather we had here in March, and we’ve just started using the heating side of it over the last couple of weeks, and that’s worked perfectly too.

I recently purchased a 16kW DAIKIN ducted system from Costa Air (Kidman Park) for $11,358 to replace some old split systems in my home. From the start I noticed the system was not cooling as I hoped but decided to give it time to test over the summer. On our first real hot day I realized the system was just pathetic. In fact the old split systems worked better! I contacted owner Michael Costa and he advised that I needed to give it a few days to cool the house before it would work effectively? I told him this was unacceptable and if he could have a look at his earliest convenience. He advised that his office is closing shortly and no one would be available until next year. When I complained he got ancy with me, raised his voice and was rude. I completely regret choosing Costa Air. I will now have to incur the expense of contacting DAIKIN for support and potentially Consumer and Business Services under Australian Consumer Law. Based on the quality, product and service I have received from Costa Air - I would NOT recommend. UPDATE 29/4/20: Daikin inspected system on the 14/4/20 and advise that unit is working as it should and have now referred the matter back to Costa Air to address their installation. Costa Air have also agreed to cover the $539 Daikin inspection fee, which to me clearly implies Costa Air accept responsibility for their poorly designed installation. I have asked Costa Air to rectify the installation as per recommendations from Daikin Air, but Michael Costa advises it will be at my cost and will not be aesthetically pleasing". I have now lodged a formal complaint with Consumer and Business Services for assistance.UPDATE TO FOLLOW"

Zero stars.Costa Air was given a work order from our USELESS PM company (Ray White Grange) 6 weeks ago to check a fault on a Samsung ducted system. I received a missed call April 5th so called them back at 430pm that day. My call transferred to an automatic answering system which then advised someone one will be with us shortly, well waiting 5 minutes on hold that was long enough.So I emailed them, obtaining address from their website, this was April 5th he replied.As a qualified refrigeration mechanic he offered me to fix it and send him a bill so they didn't have to attend and they would oncost that to the PM, I politely declined as the PM wouldn't have paid the invoice knowing I fixed it. I gave VERY specific instructions to Michael on what needed to be done and what was happening, I couldn't have made the job any easier.I said in my email instructions to come anytime and gave him the lockbox code. We both work F/T and can't constantly take time off to get numerous problems fixed (the house is a nightmare due to zero maintenance being done over the previous 8 years).We presumed Costa Air had attended and sent a report to the PM, it's not our job as tenants to follow up outstanding jobs that's what the PM gets paid to do.6 weeks later I call Costa Air twice within 1 week with no return call (admin assistant was abrupt and unhelpful she just said I will email Michael).Sent email yesterday and finally he replies saying, contact your agent for updates. Well that's laughable and this is were it gets beyond a joke. I had called our USELESS PM after sending several emails to them (all ignored) no return call to follow up the work order from 6 weeks ago by PM (that's their job). I then send Michael another email asking what's happening as all our communication is ignored from PM and we don't even know if you have attended. He then admits they haven't attended. But he dismally failed to acknowledge any wrong doing on his behalf from not acting on my email 6 weeks ago. Not accepting that they right royally screwed up !He then lied to our PM accusing us of not communicating with them to book the work order in.It's not the job of a tenant to follow up work orders.We will be getting someone else to fix the the a/c and bill the agent.I understand people make mistakes or miss something but to lie and abscond from responsibility that's just unacceptable and poor business practices.I would never have dreamed of acting like this when I ran my business.BE VERY WARY DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY. I DO NOT RECOMMEND COSTA AIR.

Costa Air came to check our 25 year old system in case it needed a service. The service was professional and the unit and the ducting were both checked to review their working status. It was all in good working order. The worker sent to do the service was congenial and thorough. Based on this experience I would definitely recommend Costa Air.
