I bought a house during lockdown with the aim of renovating the bathroom, laundry and powder room. I have never undertaken a solo renovation and Peter was an integral part of moving the project forward. From the first contact online he was responsive, insightful and enthusiastic.He put together some 3D designs and I could immediately see the possibilities.Peter is a skilled tradesperson with a professional and business like attitude. He is easy to communicate with and has many ideas and a lot of product knowledge.The project was completed on time and on budget. I am thrilled with the final outcome.

We were looking to convert a large open room into a home cinema and wine room. I had a vague idea of what I wanted to do and had drawn up some diagrams myself which I thought were pretty good. Oh how wrong I was!!The team at Expanse Builders saw the problem in a completely reimagined way and came back with a design that just blew us away!! Their experience with previous projects and new materials and technologies were put to good use and the results were awesome. Having said that, we always felt included and consulted at every step and there some suggested features which we elected to omit, as well as some features of our own which the team were able to get into the design. A 3D model was produced with everything to scale which was so useful to “see” what the finished product would look like. They had even included all the speakers, screen, seats etc etc etc so we knew that everything would fit and be located in the correct position.Once the contract was signed, Expanse took care of everything!! They laid protective material over surfaces around the area they were working in, removed all rubbish and generally kept the work area clean each day, kept us informed of trades people coming and going, and kept us informed of any delays (our build was in the first half of 2022 so materials were scarce and worksites were subject to covid restrictions which effected us). One of the trades people had an accident and damaged an adjacent wall but Expanse repaired the plaster and repainted the whole wall without question (in fact they told us about it before we even noticed).The final finish was also something really special. The wine room is a real showpiece of the home and the home theatre is phenomenal!! The design also included a hallway to better delineate the spaces and a bank of cabinetry with hidden access to the wine room and theatre. The high end finish and features like these have delivered that “wow” factor we were hoping for.I couldn’t recommend Expanse Builders highly enough!!

We engaged Peter from Expanse Builders to reconfigure and renovate two bathrooms. The project was not straightforward; however, Peter met all challenges to deliver a result that we are extremely happy with.From the moment we first contacted Peter, we felt reassured that he had the skills, trades and attention to detail required for our project. The 3-D modelling provided was extremely helpful to visualise the bathrooms. Peter changed these many times until we were happy with outcome. He had good suggestions regarding hardware, and this was especially important with a lack of availability during Covid. Peter kept us informed all the way through the renovations and never assumed something he wasn’t sure about. He would always come back to us to check, even if it was only to find out where we wanted to place a door stop.The result was two beautiful bathrooms, that were finished to a very high standard, on time and on budget. We would not hesitate to recommend Expanse Builders to anyone renovating their home.

We were thinking about renovating 1 main bathroom, 1 ensuite and a powder room. There were in general good conditions but starting to look a bit aged. Every bathroom had a massive spa bath that took 1/2 of the area of the bathrooms and nobody was using them.We engaged with a consultant to come up with a design before we met Peter Kendall, from Expanse builders.Peter was able to use our previous sketches and proposed some changes to make it workable in the space we had.We were so impressed that we decided to add the Laundry to the mix.At the beginning I was surprised of the cost of renovations, until we started looking at how much work was behind the scenes.Peter delivered the project on time (very tight timeline of 5 weeks). We didn't have any major hiccups and the project ran smoothly. At least, that was my perception, as Peter made it look seamless.He has a very interesting way of going about the designs. He recorded himself designing the rooms in his computer, and shared the video with us, so we could see a 3D view of the overall look of the bathroom, before starting construction. Very innovative way of helping in making final decisions.Very proud of my bathrooms and laundry now. I will recommend Peter for any renovation you have in mind.Pleasure to recommend him and I will keep him in the list of my favourite Builders for any future work.

Prior to Expanse Builders completing our renovation, our home was run down and not very functional. Peter came on board from the beginning, discussing our needs and giving us lots of really great suggestions of options we hadn’t thought of. Peter arranged for the plans to be drawn and all the necessary permits. Throughout the process he was professional, patient and great to work with. He was transparent with the likely costings at the early stages and his quote was very thorough as was the contractual documentation. He transformed our old weatherboard house into a home that we are proud to live in and one that is functional and now meets the needs of our family. Peter came in on budget, had all the works completed in the agreed timeframe and the quality of his work was outstanding. He went above and beyond our expectations. We would highly recommend Expanse Builders for any renovations or other building work.

We absolutely love our new main bathroom, designed and fitted by the talented Pete Kendall at Expanse Builders.Starting with our rough design Pete produced multiple 3D models with different potential layouts and walked us through the pros and cons of each. Before construction started we were given a project plan and were very pleased with how everything ran exactly to schedule. Communication throughout the whole process was second to none.We were very impressed with the trades-people Pete selected for each phase of the project, so much so we have since used a number of them ourselves.Pete’s attention to detail really stood out, suggesting things that we would never have even thought about until it would have been too late.Our house was treated with respect during the build and left immaculate. It was so refreshing feeling that we could just trust Pete to manage the project and deal with any issues himself. We wouldn’t hesitate in a heartbeat to recommend Pete.
