The Dragonfly Inn
I was travelling solo. I found the Inn so welcoming. I felt in complete luxury. I appreciated the spa bath in Audrey as I walked a lot, the four poster bed was comfortable. the amazing brekkie and free gift were very special, and the House itself is so beautiful, despite its checkered history.

We had a very comfortable stay at the Dragonfly Inn, it was super convenient for getting to and from the gorge and it took 30 minutes to walk to a restaurant at the mariner (taxi home though). The self check-in was fine but a bit impersonal. Breakfast was laid on and was in a fridge in an individual box for our room. Once again worked but a bit impersonal. Having said all that the rooms and house were lovely and we would stay there again

Wonderfully preserved heritage house, beautiful and clean rooms. We stayed one night and really enjoyed our soft comfy bed, in a really nice room. The house is situated in a very quiet and picturesque location, best vantage point is on the shared balcony. The breakfast is a complete one, with full on site facilities. Highly recommended option if you're looking for a cosy stay in Launceston away from the generic hotels.

Rooms were lovely. They made great use of the limited space and created an inviting, comfortable environment. We got one of the 2 self contained units, so we had a full kitchen, which was awesome. I highly recommend this option as the brief look into some of the other rooms, showed me that it's well worth paying a little extra for the self contained rooms.Quality, breakfast basket provided each morning with a bounty of hot (cook your own eggs and toast) and cold food cereal, yoghurt, fruit).Venue is a lovely old renovated mansion up on the hill. Communal lounge area full of antique furniture was a lovely touch.Restricted access to premises for those with mobility issues as property is steep in places and you have to climb a flight of stairs to enter the building. Our room has a hot water unit next to it that was quite noisy but the luxurious bath and comfortable bed helped me sleep better.Only an oddly hung blind to separate the kitchen and bedroom, so not ideal if one of you is an early riser.Check in is not warm as you simply get your key from a designated area at a specified time. You never meet your hosts.Overall, we loved our stay here and found it nice for something a little different.

Cannot fault the Dragonfly Inn. Self check-inn meant I was able to arrive late when travelling for work with no issues. The room I stayed in, Delilah

Highly recommend - get a room upstairs to enjoy the wrap around balcony and the views of Launceston. We were very comfortable and enjoyed the ease of the check-in, breakfast arrangements and check-out. A much more intimate arrangement than the usual hotel situation, so much character and charm. We'll definitely come again.

We had our first wedding anniversary night in the Audrey room. It was a delight and we felt special. The room was spacious and all the amenities were top class. The bed was by far the most comfortable I have slept in for a long time.Breakfast was well organised and we had a lovely chat with a couple of other couples in the grand dining hall.We live in Launceston and I wanted something different for our anniversary, this was.The Dragonfly Inn will be recommended by us to others.

Could not fault the Coco room. The decor, furniture, and furnishings were fantastic. The late checkout facility was exactly the type of feature that changes a typical overnight accommodation into an experience. The breakfast was the icing on the cake! Well done, cannot recommend highly enough.

The Dragonfly Inn
Beautiful big historic house with individual guest rooms, shared lounge and dining room, shared balcony and gardens. We stayed in the 'Arizona' room, very comfortable and spacious with vintage style bathroom and claw foot bath.Although there were many other guests staying, it was very quiet and private. The owners were not on -site, it is more of a self-serve" guest house but that suited us fine. Generous breakfast supplies included

A wonderful old share house, beautifully restored and well run by the owners. Check in and breakfast are self serve with breakfast in the communal dining room with views overlooking the city.Be aware that there is a flight of stairs to get up to the accommodation and another flight if staying on the top floor.Walking to and from the city is very manageable for most, albeit with a steep incline leading up to the Dragonfly.
