Diff Technics

Dropped my suburu liberty 95 off last week to have my rear diff and a gear box done. Fantastic job by these fellas, Kon, Rory and Michael were a great help. No whining anymore and running better than ever! Thanks heaps boys.I highly recommend them to anyone with a diff problem and any other problems.

Was originally quoted $330 to put my air Locker in my diff. It then took more then 7days to complete 4hrs of work and the cost had blown out to $580 without a phone call or any warning. When I questioned them about the extra cost kon was very rude and tried to say something about it taking him 2hrs to work out how to use the computer to order parts and charged me full labour rates for that piss poor effort

Had a Lexus differential looked by these guys 4 years ago as I had slop (clunking) in my driveline. I was told that it was the propshaft (had it shortened for a manual conversion) as advised to return it to get the centre bearing tighted, which I did.Nevertheless I was shown my diff dissassembled on a bench and was advised that the side bearings needed replacement.The diff was reassembled & handed back, with a bill for ~$700, which I guess is fair enough considering new bearings went in.Thing is, the clunking never really went away, I thought it must be an IS300 thing so just learned to live with it.I recently took my car to a Motorsport mechanic ( that 100% knows his stuff) I know to check an oil leak & decided to also ask him about the clunking in my driveline.He examined the car & advised me that the diff had too much play & that it would need the backlash adjusted.I WFH and in those 4 years have done m-a-y-b-e 12-13,000 km. I'm also in my late 50s & don't drive the car hard at all.Thought I'd remove a variable so got a diff from a 2014 IS250C with 66,000km from wrecker with 12 month warrranty for $250.I put it in; tight as a drum & clunking gone. Ratio is 3.91 v 3.58 so pulls 200 rpm more on highway but nippier aroiund town. I'll drop it back out & transfer the LSD from IS300 unit when I have the motivation.Readers can draw their own conclusions but one thing I know is that I sure as hell aint shelling out for a diff rebuild, here or anywhere else; again.

Diff Technics overhauled the limo with reduction row gears two years ago. The Falcon is still hauling 2 ton about on a regular basis. Very happy, am going back for service and peace of mind. Great price too.

The best in the business won’t go anywhere else for driveline work have taken both my cars to kon and have had nothing but quality work and more then fair prices if I could give ten stars I would, kon and his staff a very good at what they do highly recommend thanks guys !!

The limited slip diff clutch in my 4.8Lt Nissan Patrol broke and the pieces mashed the teeth of the planetary gears. Hayden (Lube Mobile) removed the diff and took it to Diff Technics for repair. The team there decided to upgrade the clutch and planetary gears. Hayden installed it today and it drives beautifully. Thank you very much for everything that was done to get me on the road again.

Sent my Nissan patrol in for rear diff centre to get fixedDid a great job ,upgraded lsd clutch ,came with warranty,Thanks guys .
