Tara Estate Pet Boarding

We can not recommend Tara enough! Our dogs have stayed at Tara and attend doggy daycare each week. We are so lucky to have this close to us, the staff are incredible and the facilities are amazing. They have consistently improved and built on their daycare facilities over the last few years…. It’s become a doggy wonderland with pools, climbing, toys etc etc. we wouldn’t take them anywhere else, thanks team Tara!

As we experienced before, staff very friendly and helpful, premises clean and tidy. The process to book, drop and collect all easy. Didn't inspect kennel or play areas this time as was previously very satisfactory and could see they've had improvements since our last visit, so we were happy. Most importantly, our dog seemed to have had a good time and been looked after well - that's all that matters!

The team at Tara always do what they can to meet my requests regarding taking care of my dog. Recently they stepped up when at short notice, I asked if it was OK for my dog to stay an extra night when I was delayed interstate. That meant a lot to me - knowing my precious furry friend was in good hands.

My dog loves it at Tara's. The staff are so lovely giving great confidence when I drop her off that she will be well cared for and happy whilst in their care. I do and have recommended Tara's to others.

Would not recommend. My cats were at Tara for approx 6 weeks. First week was great with communication and photos and then nothing - no return calls, no emails back. They rarely answer the phone and never return calls. During the last week, we arrived in Canberra and went to visit the cats. We had to just cross fingers and turn up because they didn't return phone calls. Both cats were cowering in a cage under a makeshift tent. The cage stunk, there was excrement outside the kitty litter that was not fresh but had not been cleaned up and our cats had noticeably lost weight. The food they were being fed looked like slosh. The cats are rescues so they are shy but we were never told that they lived under a blanket for 6 weeks. Their cage was directly behind a large dog that barked constantly the whole time we were there. No wonder they were terrified. I couldn't wait to get them out of there. Tara owed us money for overpayment and it took 2 months to get a refund. I will never ever use Tara again

So far so good. Coming up for the dogs third stay, which will be longer this time. Staff at the front desk very polite.

First time ever leaving our puppy while we were on holidays … pretty anxious. Whilst we were away email correspondence was nearly immediate which was always a huge relief (and greatly appreciated). Returned after 6 days to see her happy and healthy - we were very impressed. Couldn’t recommend Tara more.

I love Tara! my dogs have the best time and come back with all their energy out of their system. The facilities are great, and the staff care so much about the dogs and really know their personalities. My dogs get so excited when I say the word “Tara” at home now ❤️

We have two little moodles, one very confident and happy, the other shy and a little anxious. We have put our dogs here several times , the first couple of times they both came back very happy and were well looked after. The second last time even our confident one didn’t look real happy and something didn’t seem right. We picked them up yesterday, after a three day, two night stay, they both stunk of urine and one was completely wet as if he had been laying in urine. We were appalled and had to take them straight to the pet wash before we could take them home. They are both really well trained going to the toilet and we always pay extra to have them walked and given play time. We can only conclude that they were put in dirty kennels and never taken out, as our dogs will usually hold on till they can go outside. When we commented on them being wet, we were offered no explanation and were met with blank stares. We were very upset to have picked our dogs up in this state, needless to say we will not be back.
