Went to 90th birthday celebration. Great night.

Went on a Thursday night, friends birthday party. Partner got some sort of noodles and commented negatively on her meal shortly after getting it. My meal was mediocre too, the meat was pretty tough. Others at the table did not rate their meals very highly at all.I was only mildly merry, made a small joke at the bar and ordered my 4th beer for the evening - I was refused service and informed that I could return to the bar in 30 minutes for a light beer; I had not raised my voice, swore nor interacted with anybody in even a slightly negative way - not commotion one had I been involved in and my speech was not impaired either.I remained politely spoken and only put a very mild attempt into challenging the refusal for about 1 minute with the young fellow before spending another minute, or so, with his boss - end result, 'we completely understand that you have been polite and orderly the entire time but we will stand behind our young bar person here, you are very welcome to the light beer he suggests in about a half an hour'.The only other time I have been refused service, mind you I am 45 and have drank myself pretty rotten in many fine establishments without being refused, I was also polite and the second time I challenged that refusal the bar staff had the decency to suggest a soft drink and even offered me a freebie if I agreed not to ask for another alcoholic drink for the period they were suggesting - I was with it enough to take their offer (and I drank that coke real real slow...) and on that occasion I was much less 'with it' than I was last night.Of course I didn't like being refused but the terminology used on me by both the young fellow and his manager was as if they would not even give me a soft drink if I asked before the half hour was up - there were other indications that their staff are pretty poorly trained.Have a nice night, go somewhere else - might I recommend the RSL? (I've made much more mirth at bars in RSLs and haven't been refused; been asked to switch to pots instead of my beloved schooner but at least they never did actually red card me. Pretty confident their staff will do a much better job of refusal (at least offer the poor sob a glass of water for crying out loud) if they feel I am that inebriated, while I remain polite...)Have a nice night, seriously, go somewhere else.

I went there for Keysborough cricket club. Nice cricket ground with turf practice pitches!!!!!!!. Who would have thought.They also have nice Bar.

Not enough disable parking and car parking for the bowls club

Friendly atmosphere and great value meals. Kids love going there with the small indoor playroom.
