The Nut Chair Lift
Went last week. Chair lift was not operating, walked up, it was VERY steep. Nice view at the top with a circuit track and a few seats. Bit of wind. Little signs for the kids to answer questions, however no answers shown. The shop had some good souvenirs and staff were very friendly. Be prepared for sore legs the next day if walking up and back.

Great views, friendly staff. Chair lift was great. Allow time to walk around the top, easy to moderate...on the top. Shop staff also friendly and reasonably priced items. Ice cream is good!

A sunny windy day however the chairlift was out of the wind so we still got to go up and walk around The Nut. The photos of the views say it all.

Recommended.Chairlift is a great way to avoid walking up the Nut. Once at the top, it was very windy but you do get spectacular views all around the Circular Head (aka The Nut).We hopped on one of the last trips up for the day so we're committed to walking back down. At the top it says walk is short and steep. They are not exaggerating the steep bit. The old joints protested and the next day the calves felt it going down stairs. Still worth it though. The following day had lunch at the The Nut Cafe. Wood burning fireplace going. Extra points. Tasmanian Scallop Pies for lunch, yum and filling. Friendly service. Also recommended.

Not cheap for what it is but cool ride. Very convenient way to get to the top if you’re injured.

Nice attraction in Stanley. Helpful staff and easy way to the top. Great views and a 2k circuit path with several overlooks at the beautiful beaches and sea.

The Nut Chair Lift
WOW this is so cool and some beautiful walks at the top. We unfortunately came to late in the day so we ran around quickly as we wanted to catch the chairlift back down. Highly recommend.

Lovely walk with some challenging inclines but short enough to not get too breathless. Fantastic views at the top with scope for some wonderful photos!

The Nut is a must see attraction in Stanley I mean let’s face it it’s hard to miss it, And what’s better then walking up it’s riding a chair lift Up to it. The staff were friendly to deal with and it was a quick and cheap return service to use.The view from the top and the walk around was awesome and doesn’t even take that long, and you don’t need to be an expert hiker to make the trip.
