City Edge Box Hill Apartment Hotel

Stayed one night in this hotel. Staff is supportive. Room is nice.

The location and room was fine but the management and check-in arrangement is terrible. Not recommend to stay.

Room smelled like smoke. sheet had burned (cigarrette) stain.Customer service was so bad, My things where taken out of the room as I was told I was checked out... no one reached out to me had my clothes in the washer and it was given to me on a plastic bag. So wet clothes on a bag when I was about to fly out of melbourne. I asked if I can use their dryer and I'll pay for any fee to dry my clothes... was told I cannot as the rooms where already cleaned. Its not like I was going to use the room, I needed my clothes dried thats it and I was willing to pay.I also lost items after I checked my bags that they put in plastic bags and taken out of my room.Would never stay here again. Would ask everyone to stay away.

I booked this room at late notice and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. It was comfortable and clean, and the checkin process was very easy. The local area has a LOT of Chinese and Korean restaurants so there is plenty of choices if you like that cuisine (you're out of luck if you don't though!) The place is reasonably priced and I'd stay again if I was in the area.

It was an ok stay , nothing seriously wrong with the place but nothing outstanding. Considering the price and location, I will rate it a 3 stars for this review. For my personal preference, the bed was too hard for me, blanket not thick enough and the pillows were not thick enough. There is AC in the room, which helped me stay warm. However, the AC was a bit noisy at times.We were only provided one access card for the room. It would be nice to receive one each for the two guests staying in the room. I would be hesitant to stay again, but the price and location is pretty good as it is walking distance to Box Hill shops and train station, so I would consider it if visiting Box Hill again.

City Edge Box Hill is a winner in many ways. Located not far from the Melbourne CBD, I had all sorts of travel means to get around. I was spoilt for the choice of food / beverage being within walking distance of from Box Hill Central and the shops around it.The studio room I had was simple, well furnished and clean. A home away from home was one way to described it. Hotel staff were pleasant polite and most helpful, especially the manager.It was indeed a pleasant stay and I will return to stay there again.Thank you.

The location is good. The place is the most disgusting hotel I've been to.The carpets smell like cigarettes and weed, the sheets weren't properly cleaned. Taps and shelves in the bathroom are leaking and wobbly. The only pan in the room is coated with a thick burnt substance and the chopping board wasnt washed but it was in thr drawer. TV is smashed. There's Dry vomit or something on the balcony. There's no handle to the shower door and there are stains on the walls, the room was not cleaned properly. It's so disgusting here I'm checking out early! I'm not trying to be mean, obviously all these can be fixed, but the fact they're not is an issue.

The whole facility was run down, dirty and just tired looking. Nothing at all like the photos on the website.Rubbish on the front steps, dirty glass front doors, but the main problem was the room. The walls were covered in marks and dirt, but primarily the worst thing was the overwhelming smell of the room. It stank like someone had been chain smoking in there for years and even with the aircon going and balcony door wide open, nothing would dissipate the horrible stench. It was almost enough to make me vomit.

DIRTY ROOMS! Rude staff...no greeting, no manners and no smile. Worst service I've ever had. Dusty, stains on the pillows and bed. My dogs pen is much cleaner. They don't allow dogs! I'm glad, because my dog deserves better!! Would never stay here again.
