Good time had by all but when you go for hightea I really want to drink a cup of tea in bone China and brewed in a teapot on the table. But that's just me.

I really enjoyed my day.We started the day with scones and tea/coffee which was very nice and soft.We then went on to do the tour which i suppose was more of a short lecture on a few key pieces.I loved learning more in depth about certain pieces and having the freedom to have a browse at leisure also. I fell in love with Diana Mitchell's art and I will definitely be coming back for her new gallery launch. We then sat down in the gallery for a platter and glass of wine which was all very nice. The gardens were still in bloom but as we are coming into autumn the rose petals are starting to fall. That's nature. My roses are doing the same.We also received the free gift which was small but a nice inclusion.I can't fault this place. The owners were so friendly and both spoke to us, its nice to see them invested in keeping the estate well. The staff where very polite and engaging. The food was not lunch but very typical winery and was nice and big enough portion for me. We did just open the bottle of 1987 Shiraz.

Lovely location, very friendly and helpful staff. Had high tea there. Lovely food and desserts. Glass of wine to start, water and lovely pot of earl grey tea.Savoury food sandwiches with egg, chicken, cheese, and chutney. Quiche, arancini ball and something else in pastry case, cucumber with truffle oil. All very nice. Dessert was macaroon salted caramel, scone, lamington, chocolate coated profiterole, lemon sponge cake not quite sure, but it was all very delicious and filling.Had a look around in the shop, beautiful gift ideas, paintings, cards, clothes, handbags, wine and the list goes on. Definitely worth the drive to have a look and something to eat.

We were all very very saddened by the state of the rose garden it has just been let go, can see how magnificent it once was. The Chateau was closed as was a Tuesday as would have loved to have seen inside the museum and grabbed a coffee. Really hope that it can be brought back to it's original beauty.

One of the first places we visited in the Barossa Valley. We hoped for a wine tasting, given its a winery. We were greeted by a miserable soul, who's first words he uttered were 'do you have a booking'?We actually thought he was joking as there wasn't anyone else there. We asked if it was possible to do a wine tasting, and he kept asking us to look at the art in the back rooms, and that there was a sale on for gift shop items. We asked again, how we go about arranging a wine tasting. Again with the please look at our artworks.Almost felt creepy!!We walked out and told everybody we met during the week, how bad the service was. Actually there was no service!

Had a lovely day here. All staff were very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend people to go and see the antiques before they are all sold. Special mention to Mark for his knowledge and passion for the collection.
