Shoes & Sox Macquarie

We visited the store as we needed to fit and exchange for sizes. Despite the fact that the shop was a lot more busier than usual, the sales assistant Harriet? was very attentive and professional. Great experience, would recommend parents to bring their children here for school shoes fitting.

Worst Experience in your shop!The gentleman help us was very nice but the other shop staff (an Asian young girl) was absolutely rude! She squeezed another 3 kids into our corner where can only fit 2 people, whereas I told her it is too crowded, and she just ignored me, and tried to ‘educate’ me that we should share the space. 4 kids plus 3 parents 2 staff squared in to less than 2 square meter space, 3 mints later one of the kid almost fall over from the 1.2m stage bumped into my arm without any surprise!Pls have health and hazard awareness training to all your staff at least!

For me the process was easy, Signing to the queue was not a big deal. Honestly Sydney customers are usually cranky, they want everything to be done instantaneity and dislike to wait and this has nothing to do with the business, the shop or the staff. Customers should expect to have other clients buying as well and don't be desperate to be served as soon as they enter any establishment. Staff was courteous and professional despite many people complaining. Price and variety of shoes was great. It could help if the shop gets relocated, more space would be great

Very helpful staff and great advice. Excellent place for kids to get their feet measured and shoes fitted. Mark was able to entice toddlers to walk and test their new shoes by using bubbles to entertain the children and Jules was very effective at getting school children the right fit, brand and make for different feet types. Very patient staff with excellent customer service.

Visit to macquarie store was awesome as always. Store was really busy with lots of people getting fitted but didn’t have to wait very long. Lots of staff available and all well trained. The boy that helped us was very friendly, polite and knowledgeable. The manager also helped us in the end towards a return. I have been going here for years and would highly recommend it.

I was trying to exchange a online purchase for a smaller size. The fitting experience was fine and we decided to exchange for the exact pair of shoes but one size smaller. However, at the counter, I was told that I had bought the original shoe during a sale (last week) and now that the shoe is back to full price I had to pay the price difference? The shoe was the same, just a different size, so should be treated as an exchange? so I thought it was a bit ridiculous. After pushing and questioning why I had to pay a difference, the sales person went to ask the store manager. Eventually they came back and said My manager says we'll allow it this time". I am not sure why it was even a question? It was an exchange! I didn't make a fuss and left as my kids were already frustrated with the long wait and the store was very crowded. Anyway...a bit disappointing that they made an easy transaction more difficult than it is. Luckily I persisted or I would have had to pay extra unnecessarily. Just beware if you want to exchange as this store does not seem to recognise exchanges like other stores."

Sadly, the gentleman trying to fit our children was uninterested in the sale. Tried fitting obviously too small school shoes and sneakers. Was confused over what we wanted for the girls and told us it would be easier to buy online. He was clearly more concerned about his lunch break as another staff member stood beside him on her phone questioning how much longer he would be. Thankfully he left after 15 minutes of painstakingly trying to fit shoes and another staff member quickly and professionally attended to our needs.

My experience was great. I found out about the queue registration which works well and waited for my turn which it didn’t take long. The shop assistant was agile getting what we were looking for, so the whole process was easy.

First time going to shoes & sox. The QR code sign in is average, thought the instructions could be clearer.The customer service was fantastic and the staff were patient and polite even though there were so many people waiting in the queue and it is their busiest period. The person who helped my son with his fitting was professional and knew what he was doing and provide his recommendation, shame we didn’t get a look at his name to give him credit!All in all a good experience, will definitely come back to the Macquarie centre store.

The young man serving us was extremely patient considering the mayhem in the store and the fact that after we had waited an hour in the queue for service he was asked by another employee to solve a problem for her which took him away for 20 minutes. He was calm, patient and polite. I rate his service highly but there needs to be someone appointed to handle customers not in a fitting queue, to be served without taking away those already fitting customers.
