Harrietville Hotel Motel

Awesome little pub with a free pool table. Great service. Didn't eat there so can't comment on food, but overall great atmosphere.

Rode from Bright and enjoyed a pub lunch before the return ride. Fish and chips delicious, and the steak sanga special was spectacular. Lovely service, and awesome beer garden surrounded by trees and an open fireplace. Pub puppy rather cute as well.

Hadn't been to this pub before.....and that is a major regret!! Shoulda done it years ago. Stepping inside makes you wish you lived in Harrietville. So warm, friendly and genuine alpine fun vibes. Burger and beers were top notch, but the BEST thing was that I could bring my pooch!! How cool to dine out with my four-legged mate, with other well-mannered dogs also chillin' with their owners. Guaranteed many return visits whenever I'm in Bright. Kudos to the staff who were amazing in their jobs. Cannot wait to return. Cheers

Very cozy accommodation and excellent pub. We stayed here the night before hiking Mount Feathertop. It was easy to book and add an additional last min guest, affordable and offered us everything we needed the night before a big walk: delicious meal, hot shower, cup of tea and good nights sleep. Thanks for having us!

Stopped by on a road trip for lunch. Friendly, laid back staff. Had lovely dumplings (which required me to set aside what I thought I knew white dumplings) and meat lovers pizza and amply-sized dessert. Certainly would stop by again.

We stopped at Harrietville long time ago on our way to Mt. Hotham during winter season I remember we had a nice Lamb Curry and steak for dinner while we are entertained by a lovely dog George who loves steak too. And this time this is our first pick to book on our way to Metung and we haven’t seen the area during summer and we love staying in this quiet little town plus don’t forget checking their pool with outdoor bar. It’s so good that they have a nice tasty restaurant/pub if you don’t wanna bother driving to it’s neighboring town to eat. The room that we had can sleep 5, it’s not the most updated hotel but the whole place suits the place where you are, simple and quite.

We just stopped in for a drink. Greeted by friendly staff. Absolutely bent over backwards to make sure we got the beer we'd like. Child friendly. Cosy and warm. Perfect little pub!

The place overall is really nice and cozy, and the surroundings are gorgeous and beyond words.The only thing that made me left this 2 star review is my card was scammed to Uber the same day right after I provided my card details to the front for booking purpose. It never happen before so it hard to convince they had nothing to do with it.

I feel obliged to post a review after our stay because we felt really let down overall and perhaps I can save others the same fate. We stayed during the school holidays (3 nights) and it is a super busy period so I took that into account in this review. Bistro was full every night. It's clearly a popular place. The issues are mainly around the accomodation.It is seriously basic, and that's okay if it was clear to people from the outset. I knew this when I booked and I wasn't surprised by that, although stepping into the unit it was clear there wasn't a pleasant surprise awaiting. What did surprise me was zero housekeeping for the entire stay, that I had no idea about, and if I knew that I would have just booked an airbnb. I had an issue locking the unit and ended up fixing it but thank god I did because it soon became clear that if I didn't, it wouldn't get fixed.And that's pretty much the theme of the stay. I paid double the going rate (almost a grand for 3 nights) to stay in a unit which has seen better days with no housekeeping and couldn't even get the towels changed in that time, and although I hate giving negative feedback I found interacting with anyone regarding the accommodation to be a not very enjoyable experience, and there's no excuse for that when you are paying through the nose for it.I still give 3 stars because every time I was in the pub/bistro/breakfast/pool area I had great service from the bartender there (just not so much at the reception desk for the motel) and the bistro food was great, and so was breakfast, so I'm torn between wanting to give a 1 to the motel part and a 4 to the hotel part.
