What a wonderful example of a Queenslander. Well worth the 36km trip and scones were superb. Well done for saving this piece of history. Thoroughly recommend.

Brooklyn House has an extensive history of early Australian European settlement. The House has been beautifully restored with rooms depicting furniture and furnishings from it's early beginnings that also surrounds the coal mining industry that was operating in the area.

Had a really nice afternoon exploring Brooklyn house, the lady who runs the house is very cheerful and knowledgeable and make us feel so welcome! It’s nice to explore something so close to home and learn about the history of the area, oh and the scones and tea definitely enticed me! They were absolutely delicious.FYI they only take cash so make sure you have some! It’s $10 for the tour or $15 for the tour + scones and tea!

Very original part of local history. Rooms still as they were in times long gone. Even a ghost in the nursery.

Very interesting house to visit with its important history for the area and for coal mining in Queensland. Also well worth having the great Devonshire tea on the Veranda.

It was such an amazing experience. Felt like walking back through time. The history of the house and its owners has a fairy tale touch to remember. Home made scones, jam and whipped cream and Devonshire tea was the cherry on top of our visit with Brooklyn House. Thank you for sharing and we will be coming again!
