Bark Busters Inner West Sydney

We’ve joined the bark busters club and have had the wonderful and knowledgeable Pushpa guide us on our journey. Our little boy, Koda, was displaying signs of separation anxiety and we wanted to get on top of it before it worsened. Pushpa was quick to respond and showed us practical ways to communicate with Koda. Within a short period of time, Koda is noticeably more relaxed, knows his place of rest and is more used to us coming and going. It is clear that Pushpa has a wealth of expertise that she is more than willing to share so we can all improve the lives that we live with our dogs. We look forward to our next lesson!

Pushpa worked with us at our home to build context, observe our dogs and set expectations initially. We were then very pleased to see results quickly after beginning her bespoke training and recommendations to curb anxiety and barking. Pushpa employs an old-school, effective training philosophy that I can recommend (and assure others that it's not at all aversive or harmful), based around creating clearer communication with your dogs. Our dogs are happier, understand boundaries better, and are improving quickly with Pushpa's help. They are becoming more tuned in with what we want, and less stressed when we leave them for longer periods of time. It's worth the cost if you're having trouble with dog training to get serious help from someone like Pushpa!

Our follow up Training session with Pushpa was excellent. The techniques Pushpa showed us have stopped our dog from barking at the Postman and now our baby can sleep in peace and quiet. My wife has more confidence to control Remus now and he quickly responds to her commands without hesitation. Pushpa also advised us of some methods to set clearer boundaries for Remus to ensure our home is safe and happy for both baby and Remus.

Pushpa has been helping my wife and I with training our Beagle, Freddie as we prepare for our first child this year. Pushpa has been very attentive and amazing in Freddie’s behavioural issues and identifying the type of dog he is. Pushpa has given us the full scope of training tools to use with Freddie and it proved to be very effective (so far!). Pushpa is very accomodating and visits us on the weekend. Pushpa is worth the investment and I would highly recommend.

We were recommended Bark Busters, and specifically Pushpa, through our friends who were about 3 months into training and noticing significant differences in their dog's behaviour and anxiety. After trying a vet behavioural therapist who would only address one behaviour for one dog at a time (each at an individual cost), and with whom we had little success, we were beyond excited to find a service that would look at our family as a whole and address behaviours for what they are - complex and interrelated.Pushpa introduced us to the Bark Buster's philosophy of taking control (in a gentle manner) and being leaders so that our dogs had more security about their position and role in our pack. Even though we were hesitant about how our dogs would respond without treats, we saw that they really responded, understood, and appreciated our leadership and direction as soon as we started it.Although we've only had one session to date, we've noticed a definite decrease in our dog's anxiety, they hardly jump up on guests and us when we arrive home, and they wait for direction rather than doing what they'd like. One thing I was very apprehensive about was crate training them, however, Pushpa helped us to understand that, particularly our little dog, was seeking this when she was at her most peaceful when burrowed under a blanket.Pushpa has a thorough and direct approach, and is very solutions focused, working to find ways for the training to be manageable in your circumstances. Pushpa has a deep respect for dogs; and really wants you to understand your dog's behaviour and the reasoning behind the 'why' of what you're doing so that you do it right. What an incredible experience training with Pushpa! She showed me a few techniques to assist me with walking my 2 year ago Lhasa Apso, Zen. In less than 2 hours we had started walking together, with no pulling / stopping on the leash and overall a much smoother, calmer and more relaxed walk. I can finally enjoy our walks together! Was also a really valuable experience for me in learning how I can better communicate with Zen, lead while walking and connect with him via eye contact. Very grateful for connecting with Pushpa, who is kind, generous and very knowledgeable. Thank you :)

I have a 4.5 year old male miniature Dachshund . The biggest concern for me was his lead aggression. On our first visit from Pushpa she assessed my dog in our home . She gave me some education and showed me some strategies on how to handle certain concerns I had with him, such as barking , separation anxiety and a few other things. On our second visit we went walking around our usual block, to say that he was a completely different dog would be an understatement. He went from being a dog that would claw my arms to get to another dog , to completely ignoring two dogs that walked straight past us. I am so happy I found Pushpa . She is so professional, friendly and clearly knows what she is talking about . 10/10 would recommend for other dog‘s especially other dachshund’s.

Pushpa is amazing!I am so grateful for everything she has taught me. After only one session, I can already tell that her help is going to be life changing.Within the couple of hours - my 3.5 year old French Bulldog was responding to commands and walking by me on the lead.Pushpa is so knowledgeable, understanding and a clear communicator.I wish I had seen her earlier in my dogs life but will be forever grateful for her assistance in helping my little French Bulldog and me live a calmer, happier, rewarding life.Thank you so much Pushpa!
