the engineering facility is awesome, great hands on training here, and went here for my certificate 2 to get my apprenticeship.

I have been trying to get a place for 8 months. I have called hundreds of times they either don't answer, don't call back or don't do what they tell you they are going to do. No body seems to know what they are doing or how to fix the problem.I have had to drive an hour to the campus because they are not answering my calls and there is only one person here. She tried to ring the person organising my enrolment only to find that that person No longer works in the department. Many head scratches later and im still no closer to being enrolled. Meanwhile I'm working for peanuts and no closer to getting my licence. It's a joke. No wonder Australia has a skilled worker shortage.

Studied a short course here. Facilities in automotive are excellent. Teaching staff are knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Location means that most students drive and sometimes there isn’t enough parking even in the overflow area. Bus service is a joke to this campus and the nearest train station is a 40min power walk. Not Tafe’s fault but government needs to work this out.

The teachers in the electrical section at acacia ridge were very knowledgeable and most helpful. I would like to further note that Brett Bishop is an awesome teacher and continuous to help his students outside the qld tafe banner in order for us to better understand the knowledge and experiences we face day to day.

A terrible place to learn. The way in which electrical principles are delivered is absolutely shocking. Content is delivered far too quickly allowing students zero time to study, prepare and ask questions. If a student fails an exam and is required to resit, they are given no record of what they have to study. What’s more, when teachers go through the exam, they fail to guide students in where they went wrong - instead, telling you what it is, or simply saying they are disappointed, giving vague references to certain topics. In my opinion the pass/fail rate is a reflection on teaching. Every policy they have around assessment is engineered to ensure many students resit the block.

One of the best manufacturing schools I have ever seen. A complete metalworking training facility run by passionate professionals. I highly recommend this place.

Not enough tools were supplied to perform tasks. Explanations by some teachers are poor due to bad English skills.

The TAFE support team was so helpful and diligent in sorting out my enrolment in very busy overloaded times for them. Was able to have my enrolment sorted out in 1 day as it was the last business day before the course was set to start. Tayla was great and updated me throughout the process despite how busy they were. It can be a frustrating process applying for TAFE but I think it comes down to inadequate funding/resources & high demand rather than their services lacking.
