We had Kristen singing and playing the piano during our ceremony and she was incredible!! We had asked for Lover by Taylor Swift to be sung as I walked down the aisle and it made the whole moment so special. Matt was amazing to communicate with and to help co-ordinate everything for the day.We would 100% recommend Matt Black Entertainment!

We hired Matt Black for our wedding, we had a 3 piece band which included a saxophonist then half way through the night they turned into a DJ. The dance floor was full the whole night, our guests love it and haven't stopped talking about how good the wedding was and the music had a lot to do with this. Matt is an absolute powerhouse! He was acoustic duo/DJ for our wedding and crushed it. Such talent and read the room so well! I’ve never danced so hard in my life and my guests loved every minute of it! Amazing communication so easy to work with and nothing was too much to ask! Thankyou so much Matt!

We hired Kristen for our ceremony and cocktail hour - she was fantastic! My only regret is that I didn't get to hear her play more since we were off having photos! What a gorgeous voice. Additionally, Matt was fantastic to deal with, helping us arrange a reasonably last minute booking and was super prompt with replies. A very professional service, and would recommend to anyone!

100% Awesome!Matt and Kristen provided the perfect soundtrack for our entire wedding day when we got married in March this year. They performed as an acoustic duo for our ceremony and first half of the reception (relocating to different areas of the wedding venue with all their equipment - twice!) then Matt stayed on to DJ until the end of the night.Matt was really easy to communicate with and was so accomodating with our requests. We had specific songs we wanted the duo to perform which they needed to rearrange and learn just for our day which we were so grateful for. Later in the night we were glued to the dance floor and had an absolute ball. Matt managed to find and was happy to play the most random song requests which made everyone in the room happy!On the day the music was one of the things we absolutely didn't need to stress about at all as it was in such good hands, and we had endless comments from our guests at how brilliant it was. They are both wonderful singers and musicians, and each song was just beautifully performed.We can't thank you guys enough, and would absolutely recommend you to anyone and everyone!

Being a well versed musician myself, I can can truly appreciate the skills, talent and candor that Matt brings to an event, whether it be intimate or on a grand scale. Can read the room too!

We hired Matt Black Entertainment for our wedding last weekend. We had Kristen as our soloist and Matt as our DJ. We had amazing feedback on the entertainment from our guests. So many guests up on the dance floor, Kristen nailed our ceremony songs and her voice was just perfection.Matt was flexible with a late song change and a great communicator. Matt & Kristen played at our wedding Dec 2022 as an Acoustic Duo for our ceremony and the first half of the reception. Matt and Kristen have a huge selection of songs and provided a great service for our wedding, during the ceremony they nailed all the main songs at the right time. They also played during the first half of our reception, we got a lot of positive feedback from our guests letting us know that our band we had chosen for our wedding were amazing.Matt also provided DJ Scott to DJ the second half of the wedding. He really knew how to get the guests off theirs chairs and to get them active on the dance floor.Matt was always responsive with emails and always answered phone calls when we were organising the wedding. This was great because this was one less thing we had to worry about when we had all the other pre-wedding organisation to get through.I would recommend Matt Black Entertainment for any event you need entertainment for. Matt was incredible at our wedding in the Yarra Valley. We heard great feedback about his acoustic set during cocktail hour (while we were getting photos, so unfortunately missed it!), and the dancefloor wasn't empty for the whole night thanks for his DJ set full of bangers! Would definitely recommend!
