Went in at 4:10pm on a Saturday to get a trailer load of gravel and was talked to rudely by the lady behind the desk and was told that I needed to know what I wanted as I asked for advice. The loader driver is an arrogant person who purposely gave me less than what I paid for as he wasn't happy to do another load. They should change their hours advertised to close at 4pm if they done want to work till 4:30pm as my presence clearly annoyed them. All the customer service poor reviews are 100 percent correct and these people should change jobs or businesses if they're so unhappy with their lives. Very sad people that clearly have some unresolved issues. Recommend going elsewhere.

Buyer beware! Confirm when paying how many scoops you should receive as it common that people drive off with half the amount that they have paid for.In our particular experience, we moved forward 30m to cover the load (mistakenly thinking we had finished), and at no time did the operator bother to call us back for the second scoop. After realising we had half load and contacted company they said it occurs commonly. It happens all the time".We were one of 3 in a row that this occurred to yesterday!"

Lots of choices really great prices. If they had maintained their online ordering click and collect system I would give five stars. Leaving your car on the line then joining another line to pay at the office takes a lot of extra unnecessary time.The quality and prices are very good

Great day today! After receiving less than what I paid for on the weekend, today I spoke with the owner. After our short conversation it is clear that he is customer focused and keen to address issues with service delivery. Went back in, got my money's worth. Happy days!

Not happy. Had top soil delivered but the truck had a double load of top soil and blue dust. During the offload some of the blued dust (small concrete base type gravel) was dumped on top of my top soil. The delivery charge is not cheap so you expect the delivery to no mix product when off loading. Called the office to complain but got no sympathy. Buyer be aware!!! will not use them again.

Asked for a bag of builders clay, was told ok then wait we don't have any. When I asked if their Mitchell site had any, they said I should ring them first. An interesting case of customer service. I didnt ring.

Was left sitting in our car, in the sun for close to 20 minutes while the loader operator was seen standing around inside, no sign was put out to advise the operator would be back soon or was on a break. when he returned he spent close to 15 minutes getting orders from the nearly 20 cars behind us. Could there not have been more then one person doing this? Will not be returning again, terrible service

We've had several deliveries over the last 2 years. They come when they say. Products are good quality. The drivers have all been really decent people and know what they are doing. Highly recommended. Garden happy.

Canberra Sand and Gravel - Hume Yard
We purchased a bunch of 'vegie mix' from the Hume and Mitchell yards and couldn't work out why our vegetables weren't growing in our new raised beds. We measured PH at about 9, and also tested potash, phosphorus and nitrogen. Soil is completely unacceptable - low phosphorus, low nitrogen, and extremely alkaline.
