Cruickshanks Lookout
What a great afternoon. A well laid out Park with ample parking, shade and picnic tables. Easy access to Cruickshanks Lookout provides spectacular views over the canyon and the Leven River. For those not fazed by a moderate walk out can descend 697 steps through the forest followed by a short walk to the Edge Lookout providing a different view of the Canyon. To complete the experience follow the signs for a short drive and walk into the Canyon floor at Canyon View.

Part of the Leven Canyon experience. Beautiful well kept area, and the views are amazing. Recommend at least a full day and add the river walk as well.

Nice forest walk to spectacular lookout. Do the walk in an anticlockwise direction to avoid a long walk up stairs.

Such an incredible view.. I loved it !! There are two walks there and staircase in between them.. if you wanna climb down the steps do the Cruikshanks lookout first.. a must visit in north central tazzy

Cruickshanks Lookout
A truly beautiful place to visit and take in the view. The climb up to the lookout was reasonably steep, but not outrageous and there are plenty of benches built along the side of the path as little rest stops and each has an indicator of distance to the top. My 3 and 4 year olds were able to walk the entire distance by themselves, we also noticed a few retirees that were able to make the hike.Well worth the drive.

Stunning view down into the canyon with an easy walk from the car park to get here. Definitely well worth the trip. We continues on and did the loop from the carpark - if you go anticlockwise then all the stairs are downhill.

Cruickshanks Lookout
This great lookout will make you feel so small. Offers breathtaking view of river and mountains. Recommended visit during sunny day, otherwise it may be covered by clouds. It is easy to reach from picnic area, but beware if you go down to Edge lookout first. There are about 650 steps and the hill is really steep.
