A slim, rectangular, and somewhat increasingly strangled area between beach and road. Kids should not get too close to the road; lot of four wheel drive vehicles around. In part fenced off to function as a nature strip and to consolidate dunes, which are heavenly eroded facing the sea.

We're so fortunate to live here, having access to this stunning beach whenever we feel like and only a few minutes from home is a privilege we never take for granted. Visit here , go for a long beach walk when the tide permits and be reinvigorated. Highly recommended.

Interesting walk through the bush covered sand hills. The coastal Banksia bushes are just beginning to bloom and their nectar attracts a range of native birds. The path is concrete and wide enough for bikes, pushchairs etc.

We got married on this beach maaaany years ago. It was also the first beach we visited after migrating to Australia. Its a beautiful surf beach with views of Moreton Island and a toilet just off the beach. So its a great place to de-stress. Not always safe for little kids as no life guards. My wife and I often revisit this beach to watch a sunrise when life allows it. This is us on 11th July 2021.

5th Avenue is just down from the main beach on this side of Bribie Island at where the surf is. If you go down a bit further right you can walk your dog, it's also a little quieter than Woorim.

In defence of Australia. It is amazing that a country full of wonderful people, wonderful experiences & wonderful scenery, would actually ever have to defend it’s self form invaders, but in the 1940’s that was the case.Rather than wait until the 70’s where Australia was opened up to the world as a tourist destination, some countries took far more aggressive approach.in the WW2 there were real fears Australia’s enemies would attack major cities, so defences were setup on Bribie Island and part of that defence still exists right here in rotary park.It is very interesting to see what was done all those years ago, to ensure Australia became the country it is today.

Beautiful year round. No toilet facilities except 2kms down the road at the main beach. Blue bottle stingers in summer. Some dune erosion
