Deakin Library Waurn Ponds

It’s super cool to see old books in the Digital age, their smell and texture is qualia. The vibe and design at Deakin Uni Library is cool. Just take a stroll inside you’ll be surprised. Don’t need to be a uni student either.

Great view

Pretty comfy place to do some uni work. The temperature is pretty good, about 22-23 degrees. I stopped going to the waterfront campus because the library is consistently at 26-27 degrees. I would have given 5 stars but my 2019 Macbook Pro charger doesn't fit into their power points because of the design, which is annoying. It means I have to move to another desk with different power points if I need to charge.

Great place to study. Comfy.

Not happy with the service in this library. I had been organised and booked a group study room for me and my peers, 20 minutes into my session another group of students were walking around the room, back and forth like hawks, My group members were on there way so they had noticed I was sitting alone, I got interrupted twice by librarians, the second time I got asked to leave as my team members were still on the way but not far. I just think its poor of them to ask a student whom is half way through studying to leave a room they had booked TO GIVE PREFERENCE TO A BUNCH OF COMPLAINING STUDENTS WHO WERE NOT ORGANISED ENOUGH TO BOOK A ROOM PRIOR TO COMING IN THE LIBRARY SO THEY COMPLAINED THEIR WAY INTO GETTING ONE. tough luck if your not organised enough then you should not get preference over a room. To be kicked out of a room because of complaining, unorganised students is just rude? I would have thought that the librarians would have been more practical in their response instead of siding with complaining teens and kicking an organised student out of the room? Do not even want to study in this space because of the ignorant response I received today when being questioned about a booking I made 1 WEEK AGO, yes very organised, but bickering teens take preference I guess.......
