Mona Vale Hospital: Urgent Care Centre

Absolutely wonderful staff. We just took our baby there with a cut to his eye and the nurses were lovely as was the lovely lady dr who treated him. I highly recommend and personally prefer to NBH for minor injuries. Thank you for your great care of our son!

Pretty helpful stuff and they really care about their patients, there’s a bit of wait but that’s perfectly understandable as there’s a lot of people go there for absolute no reason or any urgent matter but they look after everyone equally and fairly .

I have been here a few times, the doctors are okay but definitely could use more training with special needs children and dismissive diagnosis (I got diagnosed with appendicitis and I don’t have an appendix), nurses are great and physios great. The receptionist is horribly rude to everyone, very unpleasant which has been mentioned in almost every review dating back to over a year so management clearly aren’t phased by their patients happiness. The cherry on the cake, pure medical negligence, I witnessed an elderly lady with blood pouring down her leg in the waiting room for half an hour with only one other person waiting, the poor old lady had to leave as she bleeding so profusely and the staff continued to dismiss her so she left to find a medical centre in hopes they could help her, what’s worse is they let an elderly women leave who was loosing ample amounts of blood and could very well collapse outside the hospital. They made no attempt to help her, just simply said ok when she said she had to go as she was leaking blood through her bandages all over the floor, absolutely disgusting I would be mortified if this was my family member. Receptionist needs to take a good hard look at herself and in those situations speak to a medical professional, not allow a women who was easily mid to late 80s leave without even making an attempt to have someone help her.

Pretty good, they helped me out despite my head bump being more of an ER rather than urgent care as told by one of the nurses and CT scan was open so was all able to do it fairly quickly…. Lucky nothing wrong so was sent on my way within an hour or 2…If the CT thingy wasn’t open, then I would have been sent to NBH for sure

The receptionist is very rude though I have seen so many people have complaint about their attitude. There was a lady a bit older and was wearing Christmas hair band that day. Very unwelcoming and all the time she was like I couldn’t hear you but that also with attitude.My brother said he would like to use his worker compensation for payment and she didn’t hear and kept asking what he said. It was so annoying and I tried to explain her what my brother was trying to say and she rudely replied that we are both talking at same time when we weren’t . I had to budge in because whole time she kept saying she can’t hear properly.I hope that the staff are bit more trained how to address issue to someone because she is bit old and I don’t know if she has hearing problem but would be nice to be polite because we don’t have problem in repeating them again.

The receptions staff are always outwardly rude and unwelcoming and avoid eye contact and mumble. When asked to repeat an audible frustrated sigh, pause and then loud monotone voice in repeating their query. This was pre-covid. I don’t say this lightly as I understand everyone has tough days and I’m very understanding of that but it’s been every single experience without fail. Have also never been effectively treated here and almost always then referred to northern beaches hospital for even the simplest of queries. I don’t like giving a low review and I have a lot of genuine sympathy for nursing and medical staff but yet another bad experience has pushed me to here.

Andy and Chris were absolutely amazing….Very thorough and diligent in the weee hours of the morning….Straight in and out… brilliant

It was very reassuring having this facility open during the night, as I was experiencing shortness of breath (not Covid thankfully). The staff were amazing and I am deeply thankful for their assistance

Went to Mona Vale Urgent Care with my son who had a broken collarbone and in severe pain. The ambulance didn’t turn up so we ended up taking him to MVUC to get seen to quicker. Every staff member went above and beyond to help, from the receptionist, nurses, X-ray, not to mention Dr Emile who was incredibly knowledgeable, thorough and caring. He even made the extra effort to have a consult with the orthopaedic registrar and northern beaches hospital after hours to help avoid us cancelling our flights in a couple of days. Cannot thank Dr Emile the Mona vale team enough!
