High Performance S.A.S.S Academy

Both my 2 sons have trained with James and his academy both privately, in group sessions & attended camp for rugby league training! Both boys have come so far not just physically but mentally as well in their mindset as to how they look and feel about training. They have both achieved great results on & off the field since training with James & we know this is a direct result of what this academy has to offer. James meets their personal needs which has been very important to us as they both require attention in different areas. We enjoy being part of the SASS academy and look forward to continuing training and seeing the boys continue to grow & learn.

My daughter has always struggled with speed, agility and confidence. The work that James has done with her in the 4 week program has changed her as a league player. She has so much more confidence in not only her game but within herself. The differences didn’t come slowly, after the first session you could see the difference at training.My daughter will be doing many more programs. Our 11year old son came to SASS lacking confidence in his ability and needing direct coaching with his form and skills. He loves to train and become better, and working with James and the team has really brought him out of his shell. We see marked improvement in his skills, agility, physical strength and positive mind set. He has set and achieved goals that he thought were out of reach. James and the SASS academy have significantly contributed to increasing Bailey’s self confidence. Our two boys had the pleasure of attending a junior and senior SASS camp during the holidays. James and his team of coaches are wonderful role models who provide a safe space for athletes to set and reach their development goals. With some hesitation we sent our six year old for his first experience outside of his club with other coaches. The impact was amazing, over the three days he grew in confidence and is already talking about the next camp... Our older boy experienced mentoring of the highest calibre from James and Nate with leadership, character & cultural development being focus areas. Along with rugby skills and gym sessions the camp ticked all of his wishlist. Thanks to SASS for the great experience, our boys will be back for more.

We put Oli and Charlie in SASS Academy with James and his team and have been amazed with their experience. Their skills have naturally increased, but James' wholistic approach and focus on character development has been above and beyond our expectations. The kids absolutely love going to their sessions and camps. If you're thinking about doing it, don't wait - you won't be disappointed.

My son has now done 2 of the junior camps and absolutely loves it, his skills are greatly improving and I noticed his confidence build up just after the first day of the camp. The coaches are terrific and James has done an amazing job at building this community and making all the kids feel like one big family. My son plays both league and union and I can hands down say that he has learned and taken away more from doing this camp with James then he does at his regular weekly training sessions. I will definitely continue to keep bringing my son to these camps.

The ultimate in sporting and personal development for teenagers! James is a master at engaging with kids and bringing the best out of them. Plus he’s had an incredible career so has a tonne of technical knowledge to share and teach to make his crew fitter and stronger and better on the field. He is equally focused on life lessons to build well rounded individuals. He has also created a great group of coaches and mentors around him to work with keen children. We can’t speak highly enough of the S.A.S.S. Academy!

James has been a shining light for my 3 kids. His insight into their own quirks and personalities is amazing. Without us telling him he has recognized strengths and weaknesses within our children and has worked on them in his sessions quite subtly. SASS is not just a fitness program for the kids it is an exercise in development of the whole child’s personality on and off the field.
