Back in July I began a hunt for a leadlight cross to give my husband for Christmas. I found nothing that was quite right, so I began a search for someone who would custom-craft one . . . and I am delighted to have found Wesley Vine Glass Craftsman.I had no concept of how something like this would be done, but Gen started me at Square One and patiently walked me through the process of selecting a design and colours, answering all my questions thoroughly. When she sent her first mock-up I had a few changes to make and we went back and forth a few times; again, she was patient and professional through that process. I absolutely love the glass panel Wes made for us, it is truly a one off work of art. I knew nothing about stained glass or lead light except that I wanted something for a particular door. I gave Wes a very (very) crude sketch of what I wanted and he turned it into something absolutely stunning as well as educating us in the difference between lead-light and stained glass. Wes designed and created a beautiful Leadlight door and transom set for our Victorian era home. He is very talented and we are absolutely thrilled with the end result, which included refurbishment of the original glass and matching it to new pieces.
