Super lovely stay at the convent!! James was a fantastic host and there is so much to love about the place from the beautiful high ceilings, to the peaceful garden and light filled rooms. With enough space to host a big group without feeling like you're crowding each other this was perfect for our stay. If you want to stay somewhere you'll be completely charmed then this is the place!

Gorgeous historic building with a modern twist meets stunning and scenic location. The owners do an amazing job with maintaining it (the garden is to die for) and there is so much to see and do. I could not recommend enough as a getaway destination for a family or group of friends. Had the most relaxing and amazing time here.

The Convent in Murrumburrah really is a majestic building for a small town, definitely worth a stop if you’re travelling through or staying in the area. Josh (the owner) was kind enough to take me through the grounds and building for a tour. It’s worth walking down to st Mary’s Church nearby while you’re there. Memorable, unexpected place.

Had a wonderful stay at the Convent. Josh and James are such wonderful hosts and the place is so calming, comfortable and homely. So great that they have kept and preserved pieces of the site’s history as a former Convent whilst bringing in modern touches with taste. Had one of the best sleeps of my life in the very comfortable King bed room! While the local historical town of Harden is quaint, dining options in the area are limited. However, this never became an issue: just 20min up the road is Young where you can find all the major supermarkets to cook a delicious meal in the Convent’s well equipped kitchen and even sample delicious wines at the vineyards in the nearby wine region! As a foodie I absolutely adored the ability to go out into the Convent’s kitchen garden, pick freshly grown organic veggies to cook with and make fresh orange juice from the 100 year old citrus trees grown across the property. Can’t wait to visit again and bring more friends - perfect for a long weekend relaxing winery getaway!

What a beautiful and relaxing accommodation for a peaceful getaway from Sydney. The history and atmosphere of the building is just magnificent inside and out. Photos, interesting pieces of history and portraits hang in the hallways and rooms along with beautiful and stylish furniture. What a privilege to stay in a home with so much history. Very grateful to Joshua and James for their willingness to go above and beyond. We're so grateful, they were more than happy to take us on some private tours of The Convent, St Anthony's Catholic Church, Harden, Murrumburrah-Harden Historical Society Museum, St Mark's Church, Currawong, St Mary’s Catholic Church Murrumburrah, Harden's House of Honey and more. Thank you again for your endearing hospitality. Anna

A remarkable heritage listed property run as a B&B by Joshua and James. Most accommodating and hospitable hosts. The large old convent has spacious grounds to stroll and relax. The rooms are clean and generous. The Convent as a base for trips into the local environs cannot be understated. Nearby are historic towns, orchards, golden canola fields, distilleries, vineyards, myriad local jams and chutney’s, but most importantly the peace to relax and breath and take in the rural air.A great weekend get away for couples or for a club to meet and stay. We’ll be back soon.

This place is unreal and words can’t describe how beautiful it is in real life! You have to see it to believe it - the whole layout is gorgeous with its high ceilings, beautiful gardens and historical portraits all through the home. Joshua and James couldn’t have been any more accomodating and went out of their way to make my stay the best it could be! Such a relaxing place to stay and escape from reality. Not to mention the beautiful scenery around the area. Would highly recommend staying at the Convent and will definitely be back again!

This place is everything! Not only is the history behind this property so interesting but the whole interior and exterior is gorgeous! With many rooms to accommodate our big group which were all very spacious with the most comfortable beds, what's not to love! We had the best stay thanks to James and Josh and I cannot wait to come back again soon!

From the moment the puppies greet you at the gate, you start to relax. The Convent is a lovely place to stay, with its comfy beds, generous rooms king sized bedrooms (those Nuns had it good), and quiet ambiance, our stay was lovely.Joshua and James (our hosts), have created a warm family feel for the Convent. The sun drenched dining room is perfect for breakfast, and the lounge room is convivial with its warming fireplace. It is the perfect place to curl up and read a book (or exam papers in my case). The vegetable gardens and orchard provide homegrown food, and the Convent is perfectly positioned for day tripping to vineyards, distilleries, and cherry orchards in the area.A lovely place for a quiet getaway or family/friends reunion.
