Our client (Darlene) has been working closely with Al for over 12 Months and they have built an extremely close & professional bond. Darlene is extremely excited for several days prior to her appointments and considering her disability this is very rare. I have noticed Darlene's confidence improve after each appointment, this is not just with her art work but just as importantly with her intellectual skills. Al is a kind and patient person who takes Darlene's disability into account every minute of her appointments. Each appointment they work on different application's always developing Darlene's skills. I feel really appreciative and pleased to have found CommunARTy and to have worked with Al Olsen as an art tutor. Through providing respectful, considerate support Al has created the emotional safety I needed to explore my interest in creative expression. He gave me the encouragement and resources to gently challenge myself while still allowing the autonomy over my art practice that I needed. The insights I have gained, and continue to gain, by being encouraged to follow my own journey of self expression help me in other areas of my personal growth as well.
